Christmas is such a magical time. We love the build up of Christmas …. the planning, the magic, and the anticipation of what is to come. Here are our top five places to visit Santa in Staffordshire this Christmas.

Blithbury Reindeer Lodge, Staffordshire

Blithbury reindeer lodge is in Rugeley, Staffordshire. It is a working farm and home to England’s largest working reindeer herd.

Christmas Lapland Experience

The main Christmas event is held on selected weekends in November and December.

Meet and feed the beautiful herd of reindeer, visit Father Christmas in his traditional Scandinavian style Grotto, explore our soft play area and be entertained by our singing reindeer!

Santa Sleepover, Alton Towers, Staffordshire

Head over to Alton Towers Resort this Christmas to experience a magical Christmas break with a Santa Sleepover. Here you can enjoy the rides and attractions including CBeebies land, a day at the waterpark, an overnight stay, a pantomime – Robin Hood (2019) and a chance to meet Father Christmas.

National Forest Adventure Farm: North Pole Adventure

The National Forest Adventure Farm, Burton upon Trent in Staffordshire hosts the North Pole Adventure at Christmas. Walk down the Victorian High Street and stop in at the sweet shop to spend those Elf coins. Help the Elves sort the parcels in the post office, decorate gingerbread men with Mother Christmas, and meet an interactive polar bear. Finally there is an opportunity to meet Father Christmas and choose a special gift.

The experience will last approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. All tickets include entrance to the National Forest Adventure Farm 10am – 6pm for the day of your visit.

Churnet Valley Railway Santa Express

Magical festive steam train rides return to Staffordshire for their 24th year, with Churnet Valley Railway (

On a variety of dates in the run up to Christmas, The Staffordshire heritage railway’s iconic ‘Santa and Steam’ event combines a ride on a steam train through scenic countryside with seeing Santa.

As Santa strolls through the train bearing wonderful gifts for each little Boy and Girl. Mums, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas can relax and enjoy a mince pie and a glass of sherry in festive filled coaches which will delight all.

Santa and Steam will run on both days on the weekends of 30th Nov-1st Dec, 7th-8th and 14th-15th December, and from Friday 20th to Monday 23th December.

Breakfast with Santa at Biddulph Grange Garden

Head to National Trust Biddulph Grange Gardens in Staffordshire for a pancake breakfast and to meet Father Christmas.

Decorate your breakfast pancakes and enjoy the morning in the Camellia House tearoom with the roaring fire and Father Christmas. Then meet our elf who will introduce you to Father Christmas and you can sit with him and tell him your Christmas wish list. Each child will receive a small gift from Father Christmas.
