When you arrive into Formby there are a couple of car parks to choose from; one being Lifeboat Road and the other Victoria Road which is the National Trust Car Park. A statue of one of Britain’s most beloved comedians, Eric Bartholomew, who adopted the stage name Eric Morecambe when he met his comic sidekick Ernie Wise, can be seen a little distance down the prom.
