Set in beautiful parkland in North Nottinghamshire, Rufford Abbey provides the perfect setting for a visit to Santa.

Santa’s Grotto will be open from mid November and at selected times every Saturday and Sunday in the run up to Christmas. The cost is around £5 per child and includes a gift.

In December there is also the opportunity to have breakfast with the big man. The cost for breakfast is around £11.50 per person and includes a breakfast, juices and teas and coffees, as well as a gift for children.

Visit the Rufford Abbey website for more info.

2. Wheatcroft Garden Centre

Situated just outside the city centre, Wheatcroft also puts on a great Santa’s grotto and is always extremely popular, so it’s advisable to pre-book online beforehand.

Santa official arrives at Wheatcroft in mid November and runs for a week or so. The cost to visit Santa last year was £8.50 and included a gift.

There is also the option to buy tickets to have breakfast or tea with Santa.

3. Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park

Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park is a 30 acre family theme park and water park in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire.

The Christmas Experience opens in mid November. There’s GIANT Christmas tree, reindeers and the park is transformed into a magical winter wonderland.

On selected dates in December the park is also holding breakfast with Santa events, which in 2018 cost £22.99 for adults and £31.99 for kids, including full day admission to the park.

4. White Post Farm

For something a bit different, head to White Post Farm for their Christmas Experience.

They hold a traditional nativity play, which is on daily, and they also have the Elf Academy where you can see if you’ve got what it takes to be an Elf.
