As a lifelong Disney lover, I’ve always been enchanted by the way Disney brings its stories to life on stage, and Disney On Ice has captured that magic for families for years. There’s something truly special about watching beloved characters glide, spin, and sparkle across the ice, creating moments of joy that delight both the young and the young at heart.
Walking into Manchester’s AO Arena for the Find Your Hero tour felt like stepping into a world of colour, music, and pure Disney wonder. From the very first moment the lights dimmed, it was clear this year’s show was going to be extraordinary. Courage, heart, and dazzling spectacle filled every scene with beloved characters. Stunning costumes and breathtaking choreography keep audiences of all ages completely mesmerised.

My Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero Review
The entire performance was bursting with the kind of Disney magic that makes you smile without even noticing. One of the standout moments for the little ones and absolutely for me was Frozen. The arena buzzed the second Olaf waddled onto the ice, and when Anna, Elsa, and the rest of the Frozen cast skated out beneath the glittering lights, the reaction was electric. My goddaughters were absolutely entranced, especially during the swirling snowstorm and the iconic “Let It Go” moment. It was truly adorable to watch.

The show didn’t stop there. We were treated to scenes from some of my all-time favourites, Beauty and the Beast, Encanto, Rapunzel, The Little Mermaid, and Moana. Each story was beautifully reimagined, with ice dancing that was elegant, athletic, and at times genuinely breathtaking. There were moments where the performers moved with such effortless grace that you forgot just how hard what they were doing actually is.
Visually, it was stunning. The lighting effects added real depth to each scene. The costumes shimmered under the spotlights, and every character looked like they had been lifted straight out of the screen and placed onto the ice. From Moana’s glowing ocean landscapes to Encanto’s explosion of colour, each segment perfectly captured the spirit of its film.
It was a wonderful balance of beloved classics and newer favourites. All wrapped up, in the kind of joy and nostalgia that pulls you right back into childhood. No matter how many Disney On Ice shows I’ve seen, this year reminded me exactly why it continues to be such a treasured tradition.
