We are getting closer to Christmas , so we thought we would collate a list of the Christmas Pantomimes near you in our Christmas Panto Guide 2019.

For us a Christmas panto is just as much a part of Christmas as the Turkey and the mince pies. It’s good old fashioned family fun and a great gift for those relatives that you’re not sure what to buy too. Boo, hiss, cheer and have some fabulous festive fun!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the London Palladium

Saturday 7th December 2019 – Sunday 12th January 2020

Dame Betty Barnum and her daughter Goldilocks’ circus is under threat from an evil rival circus owner and, with the help of their madcap circus friends, they’re battling to rescue their Big Top from ruin. Will they succeed? All seems lost, until three brilliant bears join the gang…

This festive extravaganza is packed with riotous comedy routines, extraordinary special effects, hair-raising stunts, international circus acts and an all-star cast including Paul O’Grady who rejoins Palladium favourites Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers and Gary Wilmotalongside Matt Baker (The One Show).

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Richmond Theatre

Saturday 7th December 2019 – Sunday 5th January 2020

Comedian, writer and presenter Jo Brand leads the cast as The Wicked Queen. Adding to the comedy will be Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jon Clegg returning as Muddles following his celebrated appearance as Mr Smee last year and brilliant dame Jason Sutton. Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients Richmond audiences have come to expect, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and stunning scenery.

Dick Whittington and his Cat at Hackney Empire

Saturday 23 November 2019 – Sunday 5 January 2020

They’re back, oh yes they are!  Hackney Empire is delighted to announce Grande Dame Olivier Award winner Clive Rowe will make his 13th pantomime appearance this Christmas starring as Sarah the Cook in Dick Whittington and His Cat  joined by Tarinn Callender as Dick Whittington Who made his West End debut with the original London cast of Hamilton playing Hercules Mulligan and James Madison. Annette McLaughlin as Queen Rat, who has performed in numerous West End productions and international tours.  Hackney favourite Kat B who will star as Uncle Vincent the Cat and Tony Whittle as Alderman Fitzwarren. Christina Tedders as Alice Fitzwarren and Sue Kelvin  as Fairy Bowbells who recently appeared in Caroline, Or Change.

In Jamaica, young Dick Whittington is boarding a boat; chasing the dream of a new life in the gold-paved streets of glorious London. Little does he know, magic awaits him and his enchanted feline friend far across the ocean… he’ll embark on the adventure of a lifetime: fighting rodent royalty, meeting an eccentric fairy and winning the heart of his true love – all whilst trying to find fame and fortune.

Milton Keynes Christmas Pantos 2019

Aladdin at Milton Keynes Theatre

Saturday 7th December 2019 – 12th January 2020

Follow Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee, and of course his mother Widow Twankey, on a spectacular adventure they’ll never forget, with flying carpets, a wish-granting genie, an evil sorcerer and plenty of festive magic.

The greatest rags to riches panto of them all, Cinderella tells the story of a beautiful girl who is reduced to a life of servitude by her two ugly step-sisters. That is all set to change when an invitation to a grand ball at the palace arrives.With a bit of magic and some help from her friend Buttons, Cinderella is transformed in to the belle of the ball. But what will happen at the stroke of midnight?Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward leads the cast in the title role of Cinderella whilst award-winning actor and comedian, Benidorm’s Crissy Rock; and Brookside’s Sarah White double up as the Ugly Sisters.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Opera House Manchester

Our 2019 pantomime will be the enchanting fairy-tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, starring the judge we all love to hate, Craig Revel Horwood as the ultimate Wicked Queen.

Joining him will be Panto legend and Coronation Street star Eric Potts as Dame Nora Crumble, Ben Nickless as Muddles (fresh from his show-stealing performance in last year’s Cinderella) and musical theatre performer Zoë George, who plays the title role of Snow White.

With Birds of a Feather’s Lesley Joseph as The Wicked Queen, Birmingham panto favourite Matt Slack as Muddles, X Factor winner Joe McElderry as The Spirit of The Mirror, Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes as Snow White, joined by Britain’s Got Talentfinalists Flawless, Midlands YouTube phenomenon Doreen Tipton and the return of panto dame Andrew Ryan, there really is no end to the talent in this year’s panto spectacular.

Dick Whittington at Grand Theatre Wolverhampton

This panto season join our hero Dick Whittington on the ultimate rags to riches adventure as we help our hero outwit Queen Rat and take his rightful place as Lord Mayor of London.

Ryan Thomas (Coronation Street, Neighbours) stars as Dick Whittington, alongside comedy legends Su Pollard and Jeffrey Holland (Hi-de-Hi!, Oh, Doctor Beeching! and You Rang, M’Lord?) in this year’s dazzling family panto filled with side-splitting comedy.

DICK WHITTINGTON also sees the return of the Grand’s much-loved Dame, Ian Adams for a fourth consecutive year and welcomes comedian and celebrity impressionist Aaron Jamesfor his Wolverhampton panto debut.

Peter Pan at Birmingham Repertory Theatre

A thrilling re-imagining.

Wendy and her little brothers are feeling lost. Separated from their mother, they’ve been sent to live in a flat high up above the city. Then one night, a remarkable flying boy arrives offering her an escape.

The boy’s name is Peter Pan and he invites Wendy and her brothers to fly away with him to a magical world beyond their urban reality. A world of mischievous Lost Children and boundless dreams called Neverland.

But there’s danger lurking  – it’s also a place of malicious mermaids, feisty fairies and the devious Captain Hook, who is plotting on Skull Island with a band of fearsome pirates. Can Wendy defeat them to save her new-found friends?

Following last year’s acclaimed retelling of The Wizard Of Oz, director Liam Steel brings the classic Peter Pan story into the twenty-first century. This new Birmingham-set version will make you fall in love with the family favourite all over again.

From the team behind last year’s Sleeping Beauty comes a brand new pantomime adventure that targets your funny bone!

This year, travel with us deep into the heart of magical Sherwood Forest, where the men wear the tights and the women wear the trousers.

King Richard is away negotiating a trade deal with Europe, he may be some time, so the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham is hatching a plan to dispose of his niece and nephew to inherit a fortune and steal the crown for himself. It’s all down to Robin, Marion and the gang to stop him in his tracks.

This show is jam packed with daring duels, stunning sets, outrageous costumes and a very merry man in a dress that will set your heart a quiver.

Set in a magical castle deep in the forest a beautiful sleeping Princess cursed by a wicked fairy awaits her rescue from a handsome prince. But she is not alone, the good fairies, yes, we’ve got lots of them, will see that her rescuer will break the spell. True to panto form there’ll be brilliant goodies and baddies, singing, dancing, a wedding and, if you wish hard enough, a happy ever after!

Spun together with sumptuous sets, gorgeous fairy tale costumes, big song and dance numbers, a little bit of magic and bags of audience participation, Sleeping Beauty is a spectacular pantomime for all the family. ​

This year’s highly-anticipated ROCK’N’ROLL PANTO is a brand new production for us – from the enchanted pen of Peter Rowe, we proudly present RED RIDING HOOD! 

You’ll be wowed by this breath-taking production which mixes traditional elements of audience participation and corny gags with a jukebox full of classic rock anthems and chart-toppers, all performed live on stage by our ultra-talented cast of actor-musicians. Be sure to keep your wits about you though, or you may just get rocked by the legendary Boulder Battle !

Our Rock’n’Roll Pantos contain loud live music, smoke effects, flashing lights and “a barrage of boulders” plus loud bangs from the “explosive” action on-stage…

We are delighted to announce that I’m a Celebrity and Gogglebox star, Scarlett Moffat will be setting up camp in Sunderland this festive season. The much-loved local lass will be stepping into the magical role of Fairy Godmother in the enchanting tale of Cinderella!

Joining Scarlett Moffatt will be the undisputed Queen of North East comedy Miss Rory (aka Dan Cunningham) as the feisty Rorina Hardup (we’ll make sure she minds her Ps and Qs), alongside Duncan Burt as her equally ugly sister Ruby! Also, starring are Nick Jnr’sGemma Naylor (Go! Go! Go!) as Cinderella, ITV’s Superstars finalist Jon Moses as the Prince and the hilarious Tom Whalley as Buttons.

Venue Cymru has announced that this year’s sensational family pantomime Sleeping Beauty will star Sherrie HewsonKieran Powell and Friends and Nigel Ellacott in an all-new spectacular production.  

Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients North Wales’ audiences have come to expect, Sleeping Beauty will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of jaw-dropping dance, side-splitting comedy, sensational song and plenty of festive magic.

When a beautiful Princess is given a sixteenth birthday present by her evil godmother she is placed under a cruel curse and forced to sleep for 100 years. Can true love survive and the handsome Prince Charming break the spell? Can the Princess’ friends help save her and who will outwit the evil Enchantress and foil her wicked plans?

Jack and the Beanstalk at King’s Theatre Glasgow

Saturday 30 November 2019 – Sunday 5 January 2020

For the first time in over 30 years, a mighty beanstalk will burst out of Bath Street as Jack and the Beanstalk returns to the King’s.

Fresh from their trip to Old Peking, Elaine C Smith and Johnny Mac will be back, swapping their magic carpet for Dame Trot’s farm to follow Jack and his family and climb a beanstalk of gigantic proportions to Cloudland in another unmissable family show.

Doomed to sell his trusty coo, join Jack as he fights to save the beautiful Princess, outwit the evil giant and win riches beyond his wildest dreams along with the hand of the girl he loves. Expect laughs, music, special effects, magic beans and bundles of audience participation in this GIANT of a pantomime!

Roll up, roll up! Allan StewartAndy Gray and Grant Stott are back in a circus-inspired King’s Panto spectacular! Joining them this year in his first King’s Panto is River City’s Jordan Young.

Packed full of hilarious comedy routines, laughter, dazzling special effects and hair-rising displays, Goldilocks and the Three Bears will blend the worlds of circus and pantomime featuring magic, music, mayhem and plenty of porridge.
