If, like us, you have been visiting Walt Disney World for a long time, you will have seen a lot of changes, and not all for the better. Introducing the paid lightning lanes meant the loss of Fastpass access. This means that at peak times unless you pay, you will get on fewer rides and spend more time queueing. To avoid this, we are going to share a list of the Single Rider Lines At Disney World in Orlando.

This is great if you have older kids and teens who are happy to ride the single lines. Plus, it saves time and allows you to get to the front of the queue more quickly. However, there are few single-rider lines at Walt Disney Parks, so it’s essential to maximise them. As a strategy, if we arrive at the park at the rope drop, we target one ride and head straight there for a shorter queue. After this, use the single rider lanes, then use the app and follow the wait times to target the rides with the shortest wait times.

There are downsides to the single rider lines, as you sometimes miss the beginning of the ride or build-up, but that’s not always a bad thing unless you want the whole experience. Also, if you are travelling with a toddler and going to access parent swap, then single rider lines are a great way to access that.

How Long Do Single Rider Lines Take

We have used the single rider lines and walked straight to the front at Walt Disney World. Others haven’t saved as much time as we have liked. It depends on how many people want to ride; lots of families don’t like to be split up, so it’s often a risk worth taking if the kids are older teens and more confident.

There are no official single-rider lanes at Magic Kingdom. However, listen for cast members calling out for single and two riders. We saw this happen on Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train while we were at Magic Kingdom last month, so the opportunity does arise.

The downside is you will be at the back of the pod, so you will most likely be allocated as an engineer.

This could all change when the ride re-opens, but as its a time saving feature we hope not.

You will miss the part where you get to choose your car; however, as someone not that interested in car statistics, I happily skipped this part.

This is a great ride to use single rider. You will miss some of the themeing, but the ride is worth getting to the front and avoiding for.
