Today, we are sharing our Review, Photo Tour and Video Tour of our child-free week on Celebrity Apex. We recently had the pleasure of sailing the Caribbean on this gorgeous ship, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the spacious design to the outstanding dining and unique onboard experiences, every aspect of the ship was a delight and one we would book again in a heartbeat.
We have cruised with Royal Caribbean for 18 years, occasionally trying the odd other cruise line. However, as a brand, Royal suited our family dynamic. One cruise line we did love on one of those sailings was Celebrity. So now the boys are older and we have time to cruise more, we have decided to mix it up a little and try cruise lines we have loved in the past. Of course, with the new status match, this makes Celebrity an obvious choice for the future.

Celebrity Apex Review and Photo Tour
Celebrity Apex is a spacious and thoughtfully designed ship. One of the standout features of Celebrity Apex is its incredible sense of space. The ship never felt overcrowded, with every area carefully designed for comfort and relaxation. From open deck spaces to elegantly styled interiors, the design truly enhances the overall cruising experience. Celebrity Apex is such a stylish ship.
The Pool Deck Offers Plenty of Space and Comfort
The pool area on Celebrity Apex is one of the best I have experienced at sea. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, and it never felt crowded. The complimentary suntan lotion and aftersun is a fantastic perk.
The pool deck was a highlight for us, whether chilling with a book in the sun or enjoying a swim. I usually avoid cruise pools as I can’t bear overcrowded spaces, but the pool on Celebrity Apex rarely felt that way.
I am definitely not an indoor pool person, the the solarium is a great option for those who want a warm indoor space away from the hot caribbean sun. However I imagine this space is also great for Norwegian Fjords where the weather may not be as good.
Celebrity Apex Has Plenty of Free Dining Options
Dining aboard Celebrity Apex is an experience in itself. The ship offers a wide range of dining options, catering to all tastes. The main dining rooms are split into four venues. This provided an excellent selection of meals and good choice of gluten-free dishes.
The four complimentary main dining rooms on Celebrity Apex are:
- Cosmopolitan – Classic American cuisine with a contemporary twist.
- Normandie – French-inspired dishes with elegant presentations.
- Tuscan – Italian cuisine featuring handmade pasta and hearty dishes.
- Cyprus – Mediterranean flavors with a focus on seafood.
Each restaurant has its own unique menu while also offering some shared “classic” dishes across all venues.
The Eden Cafe
The Oceanview Café on Celebrity Apex is a spacious, buffet-style dining venue with stunning ocean views. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it offers a wide variety of international cuisine, including fresh omelettes, sushi, pasta, grilled meats, salads, and desserts, plus a pizza bar. It’s great to have the option to enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating, with flexible dining times for a relaxed experience.
The complimentary buffet has free beverages like coffee, tea, and juices. Alcoholic drinks and speciality coffees are available for purchase. The gluten-free options were plentiful and clearly labelled, and whilst it did get busy at peak time, we could always find a seat.
Speciality Dining On Celebrity Apex
The speciality dining restaurants onboard were great, each offering unique menus. The variety was impressive, from premium steaks and fresh seafood to innovative international cuisine. However, we did find that the gluten-free options at Raw on 5 were quite limited, which was disappointing for those with dietary restrictions.
Although, the Rooftop Garden Grill was fabulous, and the service was outstanding. We visited on a windy evening, but this wasn’t a problem as we got blankets to wrap up in, and the steak was incredible.

Bars and Lounges , A Perfect Spot for Every Occasion
Celebrity Apex features an array of bars and lounges, each offering a distinct atmosphere. Whether sipping a signature cocktail at the Martini Bar or enjoying a sunset drink at the Sunset Bar, the variety of venues ensured there was always a perfect place to relax. The service was consistently excellent, making every visit enjoyable. Here are some of our favourites.
Craft Social
Craft Social is a sports bar with a stylish setting. Having a sports-mad husband meant we nipped in daily to catch up on results. However, we were disappointed to find that no gluten-free food options were available. Despite this, the venue’s vibrant energy and excellent service made it a great place to spend a little time.
Magic Carpet Bar, A Unique and Scenic Experience
One of Celebrity Apex’s most exciting features is the Magic Carpet Bar. This innovative moving platform offers breathtaking ocean views and transforms into different venues throughout the day. We loved sitting in the Magic Carpet Bar and enjoying a cocktail; the bar staff are fabulous, and it’s a chilled-out, friendly bar. The Martini Bar
Located in the Grand Plaza, the Martini Bar is the heart of the ship’s social scene. Expert bartenders perform impressive cocktail mixology while crafting an extensive range of martinis. There is always something going on, whether it’s a singer or an occasional quiz. We also loved the Martini bar for post-dinner drinks.
Pool Bar
Located on the main pool deck, the Pool Bar is the go-to place for refreshing tropical cocktails and frozen drinks, perfect for a warm afternoon at sea. We also enjoyed late afternoon drinks at the pool bar as the day cooled off and the pool quitened this was the perfect spot.
The Sunset Bar And Rooftop Garden
For a more immersive experience, the Eden Bar offers a lush, multi-level setting where handcrafted botanical cocktails take centre stage. The relaxed yet super stylish, almost retro surroundings make it a perfect spot to unwind, with lots of cool nooks and crannies to get away from the crowds and an observation deck at the back for chilled-out sea views.

At the aft of the ship, the Sunset Bar and Rooftop Garden provides a stunning outdoor space, ideal for watching the sun go down with a cocktail in hand. The vibe back here is chilled, and the views are fabulous. We loved escaping from the hot afternoon sun and grabbing a spot in the shade in the rooftop garden to have a glass of wine and read a book or play cards.
There was also a pickleball net up here, which seemed popular all day long. This is also the spot for night time movies under the stars.
Infinite Balcony Cabin, Luxury and Comfort Combined
Our infinite balcony cabin exceeded expectations. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and featured premium furnishings. The infinity balcony design allowed for stunning ocean views but gave extra space as the balcony and cabin can be incorporated or divided with a partition.
The thoughtful layout and modern amenities made the cabin a wonderful retreat. The only downside was the plug situation, which I felt was insufficient. We had breakfast in the cabin most mornings, and we could work and enjoy coffee and breakfast with the balcony open.
Celebrity Apex, Is It Worth The Hype
Our cruise aboard Celebrity Apex was an extraordinary experience, offering a perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and fantastic service. While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the limited gluten-free options at certain venues, these did not overshadow the overall excellence of the ship. From stunning accommodations and exceptional dining to stylish bars and unique entertainment spaces, Celebrity Apex is a top choice for premium cruising.
