So recently I’ve been asked for recommendations of waterparks with places to stay onsite or those with a waterpark within a very short walk of a hotel too.

There are quite a few of these so I’ve split them into types!

7 Hotels in Europe with Waterparks!

Gran Garbi & Aqua Park Hotel, Lloret de Mar, Spain

The 4 * Gran Garbi & Aqua Park hotel is situated 350 yards from Lloret de Mar Beach, Hotel Gran Garbi Aqua Park offers indoor and outdoor pools and a buffet restaurant. Each air-conditioned room has a balcony and satellite TV.

The hotel offers daytime activities and evening entertainment several days a week. Children can also enjoy the entertainment program and mini club and playground in summer. There is free access to the water park Aqua Splash Garbí, open from June to 16 September. Check dates in June before booking.

Aqualand Resort, Corfu

Traditionally built with respect to Corfu architecture, Aqualand Resort is located next to Aqualand Waterpark in Agios Ioannis. It offers self-catered accommodation with air conditioning. Facilities include waterslides, pools and restaurants.

Situated next door to the hotel, Aqualand’s waterpark contains 38 slides, the world’s third largest wave pool and, for those who dare, a 24m high free-fall slide!

Aquashow Park Hotel, Portugal

Aquashow Park Hotel located beside the Aquashow Outdoor Water Park, this 4-star hotel offers rooms with a private balcony. It features indoor and outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi®, and a fitness centre. Free WiFi is available.

The hotel offers free access to the Aquashow Outdoor Water Park, from 1 May to 30 September, which offers a water rollercoaster, a large wave pool, and countless water slides.

Aqua Fantasy Aquapark Hotel & Spa, Turkey

Aqua Fantasy Aquapark Hotel & Spa is located on the Pamucak Beach surrounded with pine forests, this 5-star resort has an extensive water park and 6 restaurants. The property has one of the largest water parks in Turkey. This extensive water park offers a wide range of exhilarating fast slides weaving through the water park as well as a wave pool making it perfect adventure for adrenaline seekers. For the younger children there is a large children’s area with it’s own pirate ship and slides to be explored. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

The rooms at the all-inclusive Aqua Fantasy are bright and modern. They all include private balconies.

CDSHotels Terrasini, Italy

Set in a 27-hectare park overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare, Città del Mare Resort Village offers accommodation in Terrasini, 11.8 miles from Palermo Airport. The estate features 3 swimming pools, and a private beach.

Guests have free access to the Toboggan, which guarantees a unique experience with its pools connected by water slides running down a cliff directly into the crystal clear water of the Gulf of Castellammare. Various entertainment activities and sports facilities are also available for free.

Labranda Blue Bay Resort, Rhodes

Labranda Blue Bay Resort is Located at Ialyssos Beach on the island’s west coast, Labranda Blue Bay Resort offers guests a world of exciting activities and an array of facilities and services to unwind by the beach. Sol Katmandu Park & Resort

The Sol Katmandu Park & Resort combines a family holiday in the sun with a water park and theme park experience. All guests have unlimited access to the Katmandu Park, which not only features some great water slides and splash areas, but also has mini golf, a soft play area, a huge climbing frame, 4D cinema experience and much, much more!

Sol Katmandu Park & Resort is actually located just 5 minutes’ walk from Magaluf Beach and it is within the Katmandu Theme Park. It offers 2 swimming pools, one of which is only for children, and free WiFi throughout.

Hotels in the UK with Waterparks

Due to our climate we don’t do these on such a big scale as those in Europe but we do have places to stay in the UK with waterparks attached.

Alton Tower, Splash Landing Hotel

Whilst the Splash Landing hotel itself doesn’t always get the best reviews on tripadvisor (Splash Landing reviews on tripadvisor) the waterpark itself does and it can be a great location for the weekend.

We’ve also got a great review from a family with disabilities or special needs.

Splash Zone is located inside and heated to the perfect temperature. There are 6 brand new waterslides at Warrington. Please note that children have to be at least 1m tall to use these slides.

Children of all ages can enjoy Splash Zone and what about the adults? Well, you can either bring your costumes and join in the fun, or simply supervise from the seated dry area with a coffee. 

Campsites in Europe with onsite Waterparks!

Duinrell Resort | Tiki Bad Waterpark

Duinrell a Eurocamp and Canvas site is also home to its very own waterpark. The waterpark is open daily from 10am-10pm and is all indoors so ideal for a rainy day there is also a new outdoor waterpark area .

Sam from North East Family Fun visited the Tiki Bad Waterpark for 2 hours from 5:30pm one evening which she said was a nice way to relax after a day at the theme park.

Eurocampers receive discounted entry – 5.50 euro per person for 2 hours, 6.5 euro per person for 3 hours or 7.5 euros per person for access all day. Once you pay for entry, you can’t leave Tiki Bad and return without having to pay again.

Les Alicourts Waterpark

Les Alicourts Resort in the Loire, France has an on site waterpark

With great waterslides, an island, a water fountain, a wave machine, and a covered pool for all weather swimming, this parc offers a pool complex packed with fun facilities. Jenny from Travelynn Family stayed at Les Alicourts in the Summer of 2019 and had this to say:

It is absolutely brilliant, albeit EXTREMELY busy. There are slides galore, a sunken pirate ship, an outdoor wave pool, and heated indoor pool. Lifeguards are rarely seen, and if they are around their attention is very lax, so watch your kids at all times.
