Alton Towers and CBeebies Land


This year Alton Towers are putting on their Scarefest event on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 18th October – 3rd November when the Resort becomes home to Halloween. It will be open until late so you can enjoy your favourite rides in the dark!

Join Franklyn, Skelvin, Patch, Phil and Gretyl in their colourful Halloween playland in the Freaky Fun Zone! With four shows full of fun and silliness, Patch’s Halloween Party is bigger and better than ever. Young families can also take part in the CBeebies Monster Ball, dance along with our dancing flashmob of ancestors plus ride over 20 attractions at dusk! 

Over in CBeebies Land the characters are excited for their very first Halloween Party. Dress up in your favourite costume and join them live in Big Fun ShowTime as they dance, play games and learn all about spooky things!

For older children (8+) the is a live action scare maze on board The Mutiny – an infamous ghost ship which will take you into the darkest depths of pirate folklore. Located in Mutiny Bay, tickets cost £5 per person – book in advance.

Also new for Scarefest, enter The Alton Towers Dungeon for a little less laughing… and a lot more SCREAMING! Located near the Towers, recommended for those aged 10+. Tickets cost £8.50 per person – book in advance.

One day passes start from £34 (adult 12+ years) or £28.50 (child 3-11 years) if booked on line in advance.

Brick or Treat

Lord Vampyre hosts Halloween Brick or Treat at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, 17 October – 02 November 2019, with awesome 3D LEGO® fireworks and spook-tacular new attractions for 2019.

This Brick or Treat, LEGOLAND’s newest resident monster; the fang-tastic Lord Vampyre, is throwing the ultimate Halloween party. Little monsters are invited to get their fangs stuck into a host of spooky LEGO activities throughout the Brick or Treat season, including October half term. There will be plenty of fun for the whole family, including Monster Rocker’s Dance Party, daily fancy dress competitions and new for 2019 giant LEGO Minifigure pumpkin heads to spot and a Creepy Cobweb takeover of the Castle complete with supersize LEGO spiders. 

There’s also the return of the Brick or Treat Trail which is back, bigger than ever for 2019. Monster Rocker needs your help to find the missing items on his shopping list for Lord Vampyre’s Halloween party. Once little monsters have tracked the party pieces down around the Resort, they can head to the Creepy Crypt, where Monster Rocker’s Butler is on hand to give out treat filled goody bags. Plus there’s the chance to join Lord Vampyre and his monster friends at the topsy-turvy new Haunted House Monster Party ride, and all of the Resort’s awesome rides, shows and attractions to enjoy.

On 19/20 and 25/26 October and 1/2 November, the skies will light up with a truly spectacular 3D fireworks display, celebrating Lord Vampyre’s favourite day of the year – Halloween! What’s more with 3D glasses, families will see the fireworks explode into thousands of tiny LEGO bricks*! After the firework fun is over, families will be able to ride LEGOLAND’s famous attractions after dusk! Spooktacular Howl’o’ween Fun

There’s spooktacular Howl’o’ween fun at Chessington which will stay open late on selected dates from 12th October to 3rd November:

12th, 13th, 19th, 20th October (10am – 7pm), 21st – 25th October (10am – 6pm), 26th October – 3rd November (10am – 7pm)

As the sun goes down, the eerie, the spooky and the creepy come out to play this Halloween. With hair-raising fun for all the family, untangle the web of lies with the launch of our brand new attraction, Spyders, plus the return of award-winning Creepy Caves Unearthed – Chessington’s scariest attraction yet.

Howl’o’ween also sees the return of Trick or Treat Wood and the Haunted Howl’o’ween Live Show, as well as rides in the dark.

The whole family can get involved in the spooky spectacle, which will be casting its spell to have all monsters, big and small, joining in the musical thrill.

There’s also a series of spooky animal shows and a daily fancy dress competition ALL included in your ticket, which start from just £29.50 per person, if booked online at five days in advance, with children under the age of three getting in for FREE.

Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World

Happy Halloween at Paultons Park is back for another year with even more spooky fun to be had! New for 2019 and for the very first time, Peppa Pig World will be transformed for this year’s fang-tastic festivities! Meet Peppa and George in their spooky outfits and enjoy lots of fun Peppa themed Halloween decorations.

The Legend of Paultons Manor returns to the Show Stage this year and follows the exploits of the intrepid Spirit Squad as they track down the Creepy Gatekeeper so Pickles can throw the best Halloween party ever! Get ready for an all singing and dancing extravaganza featuring spectacular illusions and slapstick comedy!

Make your way over to The Big Boo Barn for some ghoulishly delightful farmyard fun this Halloween! Trick and treaters of all ages will love the fun scenes and mysterious happenings as they make their way around each corner. 

Watch out for the hilarious Cornelius Corn and Professor Pumpkin, the talking vegetables, as they stop you to say hello around the park!

Paultons will be festooned with thousands of pumpkins and straw hay bales to complete the eerie autumnal scene and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet and greet our spooky, but ever-so-friendly, characters, including Pickles the Pumpkin, at intervals around the park.

As the sun begins to set, the creepy themed fun continues with extra special late night opening until 7.30pm on Tuesday 29th and Thursday 31st October 2019.  

With over 10,000 pumpkins, ghostly scenes, spooky meet and greets, a Freaky Fancy Dress competition, the thrilling Little Monsters Ball finale to finish each day and Paultons fun rides and attractions all included in the price.

Lightwater Valley

Frightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley is set to be transformed into ‘Frightwater Valley’ as part of its spooky Halloween celebrations (October 26th-31st).

The North Yorkshire theme park will be hosting a series of spooktacular events and activities designed to appeal to visitors of all ages.

From family-friendly scares to truly terrifying encounters there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

For younger visitors there will be Spooky Character Meet and GreetsScary Magic Shows and Trick or Treat Doors.

Visitors can also join in the frightful fun as part of the Halloween Fancy Dress Competition which will be taking place on the Lightwater stage between 3pm-3.30pm each day.

There is also the chance to enjoy some grown-up thrills and chills inside the Live Scare Maze! The maze is definitely not for the faint-hearted and are not suitable for children under the age of 12 due to the extreme nature of the scares.

The scares culminate with the Frightwater Finale lakeside fireworks spectacular (6pm Saturday, 5.30pm Sunday-Thursday).

    Ooh – I really need to get to Chessington. I still can’t believe we’ve never been! My daughter’s easily spooked, so some of these Halloween activities might be too much for her – but I know my son would love them!

    Thanks for this! It’s amazing how much Halloween has changed over the years in the UK, when I first moved here 20 years ago there weren’t any events, and now look!

    Halloween is becoming such a big event now isn’t it? We’ve never been to a special event like this but they sound like lots of fun.
