Getting into the festive spirit and preparing for Christmas
Last year I explained how much I love Christmas and how Christmas has changed over on Fuelled by Latte and this year it is changing again. For the first time since the girls were born we are heading to Santa’s Lapland for Christmas Day. This means there has been a lot of planning to make that happen.
I say there has been a lot of planning. In fairness none of that was needed, but we decided to plan a surprise reveal. The elves plotted to tell the girls a story and reveal where they were going for Christmas! Here’s the big reveal:

Starting to feel like Christmas
For me it starts to feel like Christmas when the tree goes up. Because we were going to be away for Christmas itself we got our tree up early! It was the same evening as the girls Christingle service at school, and as ever we drank Baileys and listened to Christmas music.
Choosing a Christmas tree
For me it has to be a real tree. It’s how they look but also how they smell.  If it’s not real then it’s not right! Whilst getting them home can be tricky, a delivery from the lovely folk over at Pines and Needles avoids all that hassle! This year they even delivered a whole box of new decorations too!
In London, Pines and Needles have their own fleet of vans and dedicated team of enthusiastic specialists. They deliver trees in their kilts and their Santa hats, in keeping with their Scottish heritage. They would be difficult to miss! Up in the North of England they don’t offer this service (yet) but you choose a delivery day and it arrives.  It’s incredibly simple and fantastic for a perfect Christmas Tree to land on your doorstep!
Our 8ft Nordmann Fir is stunning! If I say so myself it’s the perfect back drop for our Joules Christmas Jumpers!
NB: We were sent our tree from Pines & Needles and our jumpers from Joules but all photos and Christmas cheer is our very own.
Pin for later?Â
