Inspired by a lovely Instagram account Little Adventures North West, one of our regular contributors Andrea and her family visited the new cycle track in Manchester at Wythenshaw Park and here’s what they thought about it.
Wythenshaw Park has had a £1.2 million investment. The hub, which includes a pump track, woodland trails, a learn to ride area and a family trail has been under construction since February.
The cycle track is already open but it will be celebrated with an official opening on Saturday 24th September, which is open to residents and local councillors. The day will include activities and workshops, including family sessions and demonstrations between 10am and 3pm.

Location: Wythenshawe Road, M23 0AB
Opening times of Wythenshaw Park: From dawn to dusk
The trails at Wythenshaw Park Cycle Track are FREE, yes that’s right FREE.
They trails have colour coded signs for different abilities.
The two woodland mountain bike tracks go through the woods and come out at the other side. Andrea and her family spent 4 hours on the tracks alone so from that alone you can tell how much they loved it!
They also have the pump track, which you can cycle on with big challenging dips….
Check out the pictures to see what it was like!
Oh and it’s Free, did I mention that.
