The Location of Hotel Indigo
This was my first visit to Chester, and the Hotel Indigo is the perfect location for exploring. Conveniently located in the city centre, within walking distance of Chester’s bars, restaurants, shopping and the Chester Rows, giving you lots of opportunities to grab a drink and people watch. If you are a theatre lover, you can see a show at the Storyhouse Theatre, walk through the halls of Chester Cathedral, and walk along the historic city walls.

The Reception
The reception at Hotel Indigo Chester exudes style and warmth, enveloping guests in rich tones and a welcoming ambience. A seamless blend of modern elegance and historic charm, the space features plush seating, sophisticated lighting, and striking contemporary artwork. Deep, inviting colours enhance the boutique feel while the hotel’s signature scent lingers in the air, adding a final touch of luxury to the experience.

The Rooms At Hotel Indigo
We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room Room 207, The Paddock, and it was a fantastic space. The room was beautifully designed with a stylish race-themed décor, reflecting Chester’s equestrian heritage. It was spacious, featuring comfortable seating areas and a dedicated dressing area.
Three large picture windows let in plenty of natural light, adding to the airy feel of the room. Thoughtful amenities included a hairdryer, iron, mini fridge, and tea and coffee facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The Bathroom in the Hotel Indigo Chester
The bathroom was equally impressive, large, sleek, and stylish, complete with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A perfect blend of comfort and elegance!

Dinner and Breakfast In The Forge Restaurant
The Forge is a fantastic steak restaurant located within the hotel, though there are other menu options available, too. I was pleased to find great gluten-free choices; every dish we tried was absolutely delicious.
For dinner, the steak was cooked to perfection, paired with a great selection of wines that complemented the meal beautifully. The service was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Breakfast was just as impressive, with a great variety of options to start the day right, ready for a day exploring Chester. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just visiting for a meal, The Forge is well worth a visit!
