During our recent trip to Orlando, our return flight was from the new Terminal C at Orlando International Airport. So we decided to book the Plaza Premium Lounge to end our trip in style.

We are a family of four who have travelled together for over 24 years. Even though the boys are now older, thankfully, they still choose to travel with us occasionally. Something we have never skimped on the airport lounge. Since the boys were little, we opted to spend a little extra and book a lounge, but we felt the cost always levelled out once we factored in what we would spend on food, drinks, and snacks. Plus, having the luxury of wifi and charging points meant the kids were happy.

Situated across the Palm Court, close to all the shops with access via Level 1 Lobby and the main lounge area on Level 2, it offers an impressive choice of amenities alongside a great selection of food and drink. Plus is only steps away from the Disney and Universal Stores, if you haven’t seen the dragon in the Universal shop you have to check it out.

As soon as you step inside, you’re met with a stylish, contemporary lounge that offers a peaceful escape from the busy terminal. The space is open and modern, with a well-designed Quiet Zone, perfect for travellers looking to rest before a long-haul flight back to the UK. The lounge’s calm atmosphere will help you unwind or focus on any last-minute tasks. However if you are travelling with the family the main area is spacious and cool, its a great place to relax.

The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, ensuring that your experience is pleasant from the moment you arrive. Their friendly and efficient service really stands out, particularly for first-time visitors.

Food and Drink

The Plaza Premium Lounge excels in its dining options, offering various Asian and American cuisines. We loved the diversity, with something to suit every palate, and the food was delicious. The lounge is also accommodating if you have dietary requirements, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request. Being gluten-free, this was welcomed as it is not something that is offered in all lounges. It was great to have a choice of food and snacks to keep everyone happy. Plus Joe appreciated a supply of cakes and cookies.

On the drinks front, the lounge provides complimentary coffee, tea, and soft drinks; these are available via machines, which saves you from having to queue at the bar. The Bar also offers a selection of complimentary house beers and wines, or you can upgrade to fine wines or spirits. However, there was no need, as the wine was very nice.

There is also a shower room facility, though this is chargeable and available to book a slot at reception and a baggage storage area.
