We have recently enjoyed a fantastic family cruise on Oddysey of the Seas and have another cruise booked for 2026. After enjoying many speciality dining restaurants, I wanted to share a restaurant guide and look at all of the dining options, including free and speciality restaurants on The Odyssey Of The Seas; this guide will take you through everything you need to know about booking speciality dining and free restaurants onboard.
I like to arrive at my cruise knowing all the information and just relax. This post, with the help of photos from our last cruise, will help you decide on the dining options, free or paid. But also knowing what food is free on a cruise allows you to budget and work out roughly how much money you will spend on board and know if there is a little extra for treats.

Restaurants On Odyssey Of The Seas, An Ultimate Dining Guide For 2026
You will find 15 restaurants on Odyssey Of The Seas, seven of which are included in the price of your Royal Caribbean Cruise and eight that have extra charges or count as speciality dining. On top of this, you can opt for in-room dining (At an extra cost). I will also add that I follow a gluten-free diet, and the team on Odyssey of the Seas were fabulous. I was catered for in every restaurant, was able to order the day before and always had options.
Odyssey Of The Seas Dining Packages
There are several choices for speciality dining packages; here is a guide of what you can expect to pay, but also your cruise planners, there are constant offers; the prices below are a guide for our 7-night sailing Greek sailing on Odyssey of the Seas in 2026. However, if you keep checking your planner daily, you will be able to get a good deal and a lower rate.
We usually go for the 3-night dining plan and pay on top for Playmakers as the prices are lower its not worth using a dining credit for on the 3 night plan.

Children are complementary in speciality restaurants on Odyssey of the Seas from the age of 0-5. You have two options for Children aged 6-12. The dining plan costs half the adult price. However, you don’t need to book the package for kids; you can pay as you go; this way, children 6-12 pay £15.99 per child to dine and must order from the kid’s menu.
Free Dining On Odyssey of the Seas
Main Dining Room (There are 3 dining rooms, split over deck’s 3 and 4)
The main dining room offers a huge choice of meals, open every evening on a sea day for lunch and breakfast. With themed nights from around the world, the menu never gets dull. There is often a lobster night on sailings. However, you can upgrade every night and get a taste of speciality dining at a fraction of the price. We have done this, and the lobster was great.

Sorrento’s
For delicious pizza with a choice of toppings, sandwiches and cookies. It has always been a family tradition to have late-night pizza and cookies or nip to Sorentos after a day in port. The pizza is delicious; I could have ordered a gluten-free pizza ahead. I didn’t, as I knew I would eat it all.

Windjammer Buffet in Odyssey of the Seas
The Windjammer is Royal Caribbean’s famous buffet restaurant, offering endless choices, themed days and portions as big as you want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Watch out for the desserts; they are divine. I loved the gluten-free section, as not all cruise ships offer this, and the staff were terrific and helped me find options for lunch, even offering to cook something extra should I want it. However, I never needed to, as there was so much choice.
Café Promenade
The Café Promenade is open around the clock for quick snacks, fresh sandwiches, pastries, fruit, cakes and coffee. There is always something delicious for tasty snacks, and it’s a great place to grab lunch or breakfast on the go. We used to love popping down for a mid-morning coffee as the boys slept. They also loved the cake and sandwiches; it’s a great quick option.
Solarium Bistro
The perfect place to enjoy fresh Mediterranean flavours, the Bistro has a chilled-out vibe with a great choice of healthy options. You can also choose premium Lobster for $29.95 or Fillet Mignon for $16.95.
El Loco Fresh
A wonderful snack buffet restaurant serving favourites such as Tacos, Nachos, Burritos and Quesadillas. As I write this, I realise how much food we eat on a cruise. Thank goodness we exercise onboard, too. El Loco Fresh is delicious, and I love that they offer gluten-free tortillas, as not all Royal Caribbean ships do. It does get mega busy so get there early for lunch or a opt for a later afternoon snack.
Café @ Two70
Café @ Two70 is a great food marketplace to stop for a snack, including salads, paninis, sandwiches, wraps, soup, fruit and a wonderful selection of cakes. You can also get coffee and a selection of teas. We would pop in for fruit in the mornings; it’s a great way to grab a snack but avoid the crowds of the buffet.
Specialty Dining On The Odyssey of the Seas
We always book specialty dining when we cruise, whilst the free restaurants are always fantastic, it’s great to try out something a little different, and Royal Caribbean are great a specialty dining. Please note that you need to add an 18% service charge to speciality dining. These prices are UK prices from Speciality Dining Venues on Odyssey Of The Seas 2026 sailings; however, they are subject to change and do change depending on the sailing.
Wonderland Of Odyssey of the Seas
Wonderland is a magical-themed restaurant offering food that not only inspires your taste buds, but your mind; this really is an experience to try. Three of four of us loved Wonderland. However, we expected Jack, our oldest, would not be a fan. We agreed that he could grab a pizza after if needed; he is more of a steak lover and not fancy food.
The rest of us (Our other son is a chef, so he loves trying new concepts) loved the whole concept of Wonderland. The food was quirky, and it tasted great. The current price is £52.21 per person for adults, but check your cruise planner for offers.
Teppanyaki
If you haven’t tried Teppanyaki, then give it a try. Based on the concept of freshly cooked Japanese food, the experience is part show, but mostly delicious food. It’s not only a great experience, but with offerings of fresh scallops, prawns and steak, the food is incredible. We all chose different options and shared; there was so much food. The experience costs £56.56, but look out for deals on your cruise dashboard.
Izumi Sushi
Offering a wonderful selection of sushi and Asian dishes at a variety of prices, as a guide crispy shrimp rolls, $15.00, poke bowl $19.00 and sesame balls $5.00. There is also a set menu available with dinner at £26.10.
Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade
Playmakers sports bar is a themed bar that offers tasty snack dishes to share. Individual prices such as pile-on nachos $12.99, steak topped fries $5.99, 24 wings are $18.99, and the Playmaker burger is $11.99. (Seriously, this is the best gluten-free burger I have ever eaten.) We always eat at Playmakers a couple of times; we plan a chilled night where we don’t get dressed up and play games. But also nip in for the odd wings snack.
Chops Grille
A steakhouse offering a delicious choice of steak, lobster and a selection of alternative mains. We did dine in Chops, and while the food was delicious, it always seemed overbooked, and the staff was under too much pressure. Despite the food being delicious, we have yet to have a great service experience on any Royal Ship, which is a shame. Prices £42.42 for dinner, £19.58 for lunch.
Chef’s Table
The chef’s table offers a five-course private dining experience with wine pairings. The chef prepares and presents each course while explaining cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavours, and a sommelier pairs every course with wine. (This is not part of the dining plan and costs a premium at £87.02, but it is worth it as it is a truly fine dining experience.
Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar
Giovanni’s Table is a casual trattoria serving delicious Italian classics such as fresh pasta, salads and pizza. I had fewer choices here for gluten-free options, but I had the lamb, and it was incredible. Chris and the boys said the steak was better than Chops, and the sharing board was just delicious. Dinner at Giovanni’s is £43.51 and lunch £21.75
Coastal Kitchen
The Coastal Kitchen is reserved for suite and jnr Suite Guests and offers a varied á la carte menu for lunch and dinner. Jnr suite guests can dine but must book. We were not staying in a suite, so we didn’t have access to the Coastal Kitchen, but we did enjoy it on our Oasis of the Seas cruise.
Room Service Prices On Odyssey Of The Seas
Room service is available for guests around the clock on Odyssey Of The Seas, with the exception of the first day of your cruise, when room service is available from 5.00 pm, and the final evening when service ends at 1 am. We don’t usually order lunch or dinner, but the boys did when they had a lazy day, they did order. We, however, prefer to order breakfast most mornings and enjoy it on the balcony with a cup of coffee.
Continental breakfast is complimentary. All other orders have a $7.95 service charge plus 18% gratuity. And is open from….

Free Ice Cream On Odyssey Of The Seas
You will find Sprinkles ice cream bar serving soft serve ice cream and or Frozen Yoghurt on deck 14 around the pool area, where you can enjoy unlimited ice cream. Ice cream is also served at the Windjammer and main dining rooms free of charge.
You Will Not Go Hungry On Odyssey of the Seas
There is so much food available that it would be impossible to go hungry or ever get tired of the options. If you are looking for healthy dining, the healthy dining options on the menu every day can help you stay fit on your cruise, or indeed, healthy options are available at the speciality dining venues. You are never going to struggle for a variety of food options when cruising with Royal Caribbean.
