Paultons Park continues to be one of the UKs most loved family theme parks and our recent visit highlighted ALL the reasons why. Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World are perfect for all ages and while there we met many families who were going back for a 2nd/3rd/4th year with many taking advantage of the second day free deal when booking a ‘Paultons Park break’. 

Paultons is the UK’s number 1 family theme park rated on Google — located in Hampshire with over 70 exciting rides and attractions, set within 140 acres of beautiful parkland on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Paultons is also home of the UK’s only Peppa Pig World with 9 fun Peppa-themed rides. 

Paultons is one of the best parks for days out with toddlers and small children and here I will discuss my top five reasons.

5 – with over 70 rides including 9 specific Peppa Pig rides in Peppa Pig world + SIX playground (and not forgetting a 2 splash/water areas perfect for hot days) there really is something for everyone and so many rides for young children which are fun, safe and the right level of exhilarating for little ones! For those thrill seekers many of the bigger rides also accommodate those whose height is 1m. 

4 – There are loads of family friendly eateries in the park, from pancakes to ice cream parlours, coffee shops to churros and doughnuts but also  full meals; burgers, hotdogs, burritos and even tagines! Nothing is ridiculously priced either – you don’t leave thinking you’ve been short changed, a feeling I have had on other days out! There is something to suit all tastes and bottle and food heating for babies available at all restaurants and refreshment outlets. Microwaves are also available in Baby Care Centres. If you want to bring a picnic instead there are also loads of spaces including covered areas and a specific water bottle refill (next to Ciao Bella where we had delicious Ice cream). 

3 – Paultons is more than just a theme park. While most people go for the rides, there is actually much more to Paultons. From critters (have you seen the chameleon?) to birds (including a walk through aviary, owls, pelicans, penguins flamingos and my personal favourite Zazu birds aka Hornbills), mammals (porcupines, lemurs and meerkats among others) and beautiful gardens (a Japanese garden, the bridge with Koi carp and a beautiful river walk) which make for a moment of peace or the perfect nap spot when having a #Tiniesdayout. Have a look at the feeding times for the penguins & the meerkats too! 

There are also lots of shows; Blast off and Space Cadets, Meet Baby Evie pig and all the family and ALIVE! Dinosaurs encounter among other seasonal spectacles. 

2 – Queuing times at the park are exceptionally low. Having been twice this year to Paultons, once during school term time (for a school trip with my son) and once during the summer holidays with a family group including 3 children under 5, both trips were similar times wise which is testament to planning and accessibility of the park with most wait times being less than 10 minutes. Waiting times are visible on boards throughout the park which makes planning easy and moves us nicely onto number 1!

1 – Getting Around. Compared to other parks in the U.K. Paultons and Peppa Pig World is quite compact making walking around it much easy with children for a #Tiniesdayout. Theme parks can feel overwhelming, but it’s not like that at Paultons as it is very easy to navigate with lots of available toilets (including award winning baby changing facilities) and the opportunity to find a quieter walk if needed. For those with littlest legs, strollers are also available for hire in advance. 

Like many families, Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World are a firm favourite with us. It has easy accessibility across the country, particularly with their break deals. My son (8) has a number of favourite rides including The Cat-o-pillar coaster, The Sky Swinger and The Pirate Ship. My daughter (4) and her cousin (3) loved Seal Falls, Als auto academy, everything in Peppa Pig World and the Farmyard Flyer and us adults loved a combination of The Victorian Carousel, Cyclonator and Storm Chaser as well as many more!

We love the family feeling of Paultons and living where we do have friends who worked there as young adults who now take their own children, which demonstrates the passion for a family-centric experience! The ever expanding park opened the new Ghostly Manor this year (which is perfect for Halloween!) and will also have a new Viking section in 2026, which we are excited to visit!
