You can’t go wrong with this book from the lovely Hurrah for Gin, it’s the perfect stocking filler.
We spend our childhoods wanting to a be adults and, when we get there, find ourselves lost under a pile of life admin, half completed to do lists and anti-ageing face creams that promise to make you look as good as Natalie Imbruglia.
In her new book, Hurrah for Gin pinpoints with painful precision just how overwhelming life can be when you’re all grown up. From the worry spiral that keeps you up at 3AM, to maintaining a professional aura when you can’t stand other people – this is for everyone struggling to stay afloat.
Honest, relatable, funny and containing no useful advice whatsoever, take comfort in the knowledge that it’s not just you, we’re all as f*cked as each other.
I LOVE MCR® Strawberry Jam Gin
This ‘Proper Pink’ Strawberry Jam Gin (38% ABV) is hand-crafted in small batches at the City of Manchester Distillery in the heart of Manchester flavoured with a Duerr’s classic strawberry jam.
It’s a gorgeous colour and looks amazing in a large glass with extra ice!
We absolutely LOVE these large ice cube trays. After a couple of trips to a friends house I had to come home and buy them straight away. They make a real difference to a G&T and everyone who uses them loves them.

Lyme Bay’s Winter Gin
It is the latest addition to the Devon-based Lyme Bay Winery’s blossoming gin collection. Taking inspiration from the cold season, Winter Gin contrasts the dark days with a warmth and rich complexity. Earthy tones are layered against black pepper and nutmeg, with notes of elderberries and blackberries. It is finished with a hint of burnt orange.
The warm, lingering finish is reminiscent of long evenings in front of the fire – the place where Winter Gin is best enjoyed. For a little something extra it can be served with a stick of cinnamon and a twist of orange.
Winter Gin costs £36.50 and is available directly from the website: https://www.lymebaywinery.co.uk/lyme-bay-winter-gin It is also available as a 5cl miniature for £4, although I always think you may as well go for the full bottle!
This code LYMEBAYMINIS gives you my lovely readers 10% off the gins
I don’t own this set of 2 Gin Glasses with short stems yet but I really think I need to. They look so very pretty but also look like they would stand up to life in our house, and at our parties better than others have done in the past!
King of Soho Gin
The King of Soho Variorum Gin, is a pink berry edition of the original London Dry; notes of fresh strawberry and floral chamomile perfectly complement the classic juniper and citrus flavours of the original recipe.
Crafted in the heart of London The King of Soho London Dry Gin is a super-premium bespoke gin that features no less than 12 botanicals including juniper, grapefruit peel, sweet orange, coriander, angelica root and cassia.
