Atlantis is an amazing entertainment resort located at the top of The Palm (a man-made island) in Dubai. It’s a totally unique ocean-themed resort featuring a variety of attractions, including Aquaventure Waterpark, The Lost Chambers Aquarium and Dolphin Bay. It’s also known as a major culinary destination in Dubai, with a collection of world-renowned restaurants.
From the moment we arrived at the grand entrance of Atlantis, we were in awe. The towering arches, sparkling fountains, and intricate details immediately set the tone for the luxurious stay ahead. Our boys were wide, eyed as we walked into the stunning lobby, with its soaring ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, and vibrant artwork. The grand scale of it all felt like stepping into another world, and the warm welcome from the staff made us feel right at home.

The Highlights of Our Visit To Atlantis The Palm
Aquaventure Waterpark & Beach Fun
Our boys couldn’t get enough of Aquaventure Waterpark! The slides were thrilling, and the wave pool was perfect for some family bonding. They especially loved the lazy river, which kept them entertained for hours.
When we weren’t at the waterpark, we spent plenty of time at the private beach. The soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters made it an ideal spot for both play and relaxation. The boys had a blast building sandcastles and splashing in the gentle waves while we enjoyed lounging on the sunbeds with a refreshing drink in hand. The beach felt like a serene escape, offering stunning views of the Dubai skyline and the sparkling Arabian Gulf.
The Lost Chambers Aquarium At Atlantis The Palm
Exploring the Lost Chambers Aquarium was another big hit. The boys were mesmerised by the underwater variety of marine life. Particularly spotting sharks and rays, and watching feeding time. It was educational and fun, making it a great way to spend our downtime.
Fantastic Food Options
The food at Atlantis the Palm is simply amazing! Over 35 dining options range from casual eateries to fine dining. Plus, child-friendly menus and family-focused restaurants like The Shore and Wavehouse.
With so many dining options, we found something to suit everyone’s tastes. The boys enjoyed casual meals at places like Wavehouse (where they could play while we ate) while we indulged in some delicious international cuisine. The buffet breakfast was a daily highlight; and they still talk about the fabulouse brunch. There was something for everyone, and the variety kept it interesting throughout our stay.
The Wavehouse is the perfect family entertainment hub, blending fun and relaxation in a lively, laid-back atmosphere. The boys couldn’t get enough of the bowling alley. The arcade games were a huge hit, with various games that kept them entertained.
One of the most exciting features was the surf simulator, where we all got to test our balance and skills on the waves—it was challenging but so much fun! And for parents, there’s a great terrace area where you can unwind with a drink or snack while the kids play, making it an all-round fantastic experience for everyone.

it wouldn’t occur to me that Atlantis wouldn’t be family friendly. it’s a waterpark and aquarium. Is there a reason why you weren’t sure it would be?
