We recently sailed on the beautiful Norwegian Encore and stayed in Balcony Cabin 10894. Having a balcony cabin really made a difference to our cruise, giving us extra space to relax and a private spot to enjoy the sea views.

Cabin 10894 was well laid out with plenty of storage, a comfortable bed, and a sofa area that made it easy for us to spread out and feel at home. The highlight, of course, was the balcony itself, perfect for morning coffee, evening sunsets, or simply watching the waves go by.

Our Balcony Cabin On Norwegian Encore 

We were on deck 10, and our cabin was towards the aft. This meant there was a slight night rock, but I liked the soft sway of being at the aft or forward. You can see the room number also had extra features; it would light up when you were in the cabin to alert your cabin steward. You could also click a button just inside the door to highlight do not disturb, or please make up my room.

The bed and pillows were super comfy, and the balcony had enough space for lazy mornings and breakfast on the balcony, which we did most days. There are plug sockets in the vanity area. Plus, the night lights on each side of the bed have USB plugs. There was also a smart TV opposite the bed to access your onboard account and book activities. Plus watch TV but we never had time.

While the hanging area in the wardrobe could have been more extensive, there was also plenty of space under the bed for cases, plus two substantial storage drawers under the sofa. And storage under the vanity.

The Bathroom In Our Norwegian Encore Balcony Cabin

The bathroom in our balcony cabin was a pleasant surprise, modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. It featured a corner shower with a proper door (so much better than a clingy shower curtain!) and a powerful showerhead that made freshening up after a long day really enjoyable.

Amenities were convenient but straightforward, with shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap provided in dispensers, which saved us from packing full bottles. We also appreciated the ample storage shelves, giving us plenty of space to keep all our toiletries organised throughout the cruise.

You Can Get You Laundry Done Onboard

This laundry and ironing service is convenient if you’re on a longer sailing, as it saves you from packing extra outfits or worrying about creases along the way. While we don’t usually send a full bag of ironing, we do like to have a few key pieces, like shirts and dresses, pressed on board.

The cost is very reasonable at $2.95 per shirt, and in our opinion, it’s worth every penny. It means we can avoid the hassle of ironing before we leave home and still step out each evening looking neat and fresh. For us, it’s one of those small luxuries that makes cruising feel even more relaxing.

Breakfast On The Balcony Is Worth Paying For

One of the simple pleasures of a cruise for us is enjoying breakfast on the balcony. On Norwegian Encore, the balcony breakfast service costs just $4.95 per room and is available daily from 6:30–10:00 am, as long as you hang your order card on the door before 4:00 am.

You can select from a range of 30-minute delivery slots, which makes it easy to plan around early excursions or lazy mornings. The menu includes a nice variety of continental options, pastries, fruit, cereal, juices, and hot drinks, everything you need for a relaxed start to the day.

We love starting our mornings slowly, watching the sea with coffee in hand, so ordering breakfast to the balcony has become a bit of a tradition for us. It’s such a peaceful way to begin the day before heading out to explore the ship or port.

Overall, our stay in Balcony Cabin 10894 on Norwegian Encore was everything we’d hoped for and more. The cabin was comfortable, well laid out, and had all the little touches that make life at sea feel effortless, from the modern bathroom and handy storage to the convenience of room service breakfast and laundry pressing. However, the real highlight was the private balcony, which provided the perfect spot to start and end each day with breathtaking ocean views.

If you’re considering a balcony cabin on Norwegian Encore, we’d definitely recommend it. We cruised the Caribbean from Miami, stopping at St Marten, Puerto Plata and Great Stirrup Cay. It adds that extra level of comfort and relaxation to your cruise, making the experience feel even more special.
