Newquay

Located on the north coast of Cornwall, Newquay is a bustling seaside town with everything you could need for a family holiday. The vibrant high street has a fantastic selection of independent shops and eateries, from surfwear shops to ice cream parlours, there’s something for everyone. Various attractions and beaches can be found a short walk from the town centre, and for those places slightly further from the centre, there’s a fun land train to hop on and off. Families will enjoy visiting the aquarium, zoo, public gardens, miniature railway, and on rainy days, the trampoline park.

St Ives

The ever-popular seaside town of St Ives has gained a reputation for being one of Cornwall’s holiday hot spots. It’s easy to see why: the town boasts multiple beaches, turquoise waters, quaint cobbled streets, independent shops and eateries, a love of art, and stunning views. 

And with everything within walking distance, you can simply park up for the duration of your holiday by the sea and explore the town on foot. Choose a holiday in St Ives and you’ll be able to step outside your front door and arrive at the beach or meander through the town in a matter of minutes.

Visitors can also enjoy a range of attractions and activities, with something to amuse each member of the family. Visit the historic castle, enjoy a round of golf, take a surfing lesson, attend a creative art class, or just a short drive away, visit The Milkyway Adventure Park. 

If you fancy visiting Bude with your family, take a look at this wonderful home-from-home, Tamarisk. Boasting an enviable location, Bude canal runs adjacent to the property, and beyond that is Summerleaze beach. Kids will love being able to feed the ducks on the canal, and within minutes, be playing in the sand on the beach! Falmouth

Nestled on the balmy south coast of Cornwall, the maritime town of Falmouth is a fantastic choice for families. This vibrant town has a plethora of places to explore, many of which are within walking distance from the town itself. In addition to the bustling high street with its quirky shops and tucked-away eateries, Events Square has a selection of bars and cafes, and hosts several events throughout the year. 

Falmouth also boasts some beautiful, easy-to-access beaches, complete with facilities, cafes, and watersports activities and hire. Thanks to the milder microclimate on the south coast, it’s easy to feel a world away when relaxing on the sand. Enjoy a fun day out and discover more about the history of Falmouth with a visit to the National Maritime Museum and the impressive Pendennis Castle, where you can watch real-life knights jostle! If you’re looking to venture slightly further afield, this area of Cornwall is home to several tropical gardens which are beautiful year-round.
