If you’re anything like me then nothing says Christmas more than some twinkly lights, Santa and a glass of fizz. Luckily this December you can do all three together by heading to Christmas at Bolesworth in Cheshire.

All through December Bolesworth is going to be transformed into an illuminated wonderland. There will be a 1.2 mile trail with magical fun along the way for all of the family. The lights trail will first follow the lakeside, before taking the winding pathways through the woods.  There might even be a few of Santa’s reindeer to greet you.  If this wasn’t enough the Castle itself will also be spectacularly lit.

Yes you can see Santa at Bolesworth.

At Bolesworth your children can meet Santa, leave their Christmas present list with him and also have their photo taken so you can take home a memento of these magical moments.

You’ll need to arrive on time to make sure they don’t have large queues and the experience will last approximately 20 to 30 mins from arrival to the end of the experience.

Ice Skating at Bolesworth this Christmas

You can also ice skate at Bolesworth with your friends and family. You can do this set against the iconic backdrop of Bolesworth Castle. If you’re better at ice skating than me, you can spin around to the soundtracks and afterwards head to the bar for a warming drink. The Ice skating experience will last 30-40 minutes and includes boot hire, but they suggest you don’t be late!

VIP Champagne Island at Bolesworth this Christmas

Bolesworth also has a VIP champagne Island which sounds like something very special indeed. Located just 10 minutes from the Christmas Village and a third of the way along the Lights Trail, there will be a secret sanctuary on a hidden island full of Champagne. From the greeting point, their crew will take you on a short voyage (just 30 metres) across the lake to an exclusive island where you can spend 45 to 60 minutes sipping champagne and soaking up the magical views of the castle, enchanted forest and the lake. You’ll then head back to either carry on with the Lights Trail walk, or you can head back to the Christmas Village.
