Best Eurocamp Sites for Runners

25 Things to do when staying at La Croix du Vieux Pont near Paris with Eurocamp
Share

Eurocamp does not typically advertise itself as perfect for runners, but many campsites are close to nature trails, open spaces, or forested areas where running is encouraged.

There are however a few specific sites that are better suited for those looking to stay active, and where it would be useful to add to your packing list womens running trainers or to be fair mens running trainers, due to their access to amazing running routes and outdoor spaces. We tend to pack our favourite adidas, but whatever works for you.

Some of our favourite sites for running are:

La Croix du Vieux Pont, France (near Paris)

Located by a river and a large beautiful lake, this site offers scenic routes ideal for running.

There are long stretches of paths both within and around the park, making it a good option for beginner runners or those that fancy a longer run.

Last time I was at La Croix du Vieux Pont with friends I managed some shorter runs around the lake in the centre of the park but also a 10k which took in the local village too.

Domaine des Ormes, Brittany, France

This large site also includes a golf course and a huge woodland, which offers loads of places for runners to explore. The size of the park itself, along with nearby trails, provides good options for runners,

Pra Delle Torri, Venice, Italy

  • This campsite is known for its sport-focused amenities, including a long seafront promenade, ideal for running with views of the Adriatic Sea. It’s flat as well so if that’s your running style then this is the one for you.

Marina di Venezia, Italy

  • Another hugely popular Eurocamp site with easy access to coastal paths, making it suitable for a run along the beach or nearby tracks. When you think of Venice you don’t always think of easy running so staying slightly further out makes this the perfect place to stay for runners.

Park Albatros, Tuscany, Italy

  • Park Albatros is in a natural pine forest, and so this site offers shaded running paths and trails both inside and around the park. Perfect for throwing on those womens trail running shoes and soaking up the beauty.

If you’re a keen runner and also a keen Eurocamper and have specific sites that you love too, do get in touch and let us know so we can add your favourite to the list.
