Bibione is a seaside resort in the north-east of Italy, also a part of the Metropolitan City of Venice. Beach

The beach will be undoubtedly the first thing to catch your eyes: Facing on the Adriatic Sea, Bibione has this amazing fine sandy beach as long as 8 kilometres (ca. 5 miles); while the seabed declines gradually towards the sea, making it particularly safe for children.

The water is so clear that it has been rewarded the “Blue Flag” since 1996, an international recognition from FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), and it is the first tourist resort in Europe to get Environmental Registration from EMAS (the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) due to its excellent quality of air, water and services.

Services available on the beach include umbrellas, Wi-Fi, customer services, First Aid centre, as well as sports and entertainment program for both adults and children, and many more.

Another good news for parents: you can stay in a kid-friendly hotel on the sandy shore, in particular ApartHotel Imperial, which disposes a private beach with outdoor playground in a fenced area, so you can be more relaxed when your children are playing and running around.

Nature

Bibione is also well-protected in term of nature. A tour to Valgrande and Vallesina, valleys that cover a vast natural area including 320 water sources, forests and green fields, will be a very pleasing experience for children, especially in August, to observe wild ducks, grey herons and flamingos, roe deer, fallow deer, wild horses, widgeon and many other native animals.

There are different ways for families to explore the landscapes: having a Nordic walking or a horse riding in the green, watching amazing sunset on a kayak on the lagoon, taking a simple walk or a bicycle riding in the pine forest near the lighthouse, or dedicating your time to exploring the native flora and fauna… so many choices that you and your children will never be bored.

Sport & Wellness

The resort offers various opportunity to sport enthusiasts, from the classic swimming, sailing, canoeing and fishing to the more challenging windsurfing, scuba diving, water skiing and surfcasting.

For those who love to stay on the ground, Bibione has 9 paths extended from the shore towards countryside, the lighthouse and pinewood, Tagliamento River and other areas, perfect for a long walk or a bicycle riding with the whole family. Besides, there are always rooms for beach volleyball, tennis, golf, as well as exciting sport events.

Then it’s time to relax! After all these physical activities, you deserve a luxury treatment in Bibione Termae. The spa provides a wide range of wellness programmes, even a Junior spa for children and teenagers!

Hotel

If it rains? Or just not want to go out? Not a problem, you can count on the hotel! And this is why so important to choose a good, kid-friendly one – to have all the comfort and services for families’ needs.

ApartHotel Imperial has both outside and inside play area. Children can then have fun with entertainment programmes, provided by the hotel, like animation activity with mascot “Mario the Frog”, baby dance, theatre plays, group games… After that, there is also a yummy afternoon snack waiting for them!  While teenagers can go for a tournament, sport or dance at the pool or on the beach.

And don’t forget the Pool Park in the hotel! Completed with 3 pools of different depths, Jacuzzi, water springs, as well as parasols, loungers and a bar, perfect for both children and adults.

Moreover, nursery service, baby bottle and baby menu will make parents’ holiday easier and more relaxed.

Town and Surroundings

A holiday in Bibione means also tasting typical local dishes in restaurant, walking along the street, shopping, and try a gelato (or two). Kids will surely better appreciate a go to parks: amusement parks Adriatico, Strabilia and Gulliverlandia, Punta Verde the zoo, aquatic park Aquasplash and other more.

If you prefer a cultural trip, then Bibione is right in the halfway between Venice and Trieste, about 1 hour’s drive to each city or by a public transport; historic cities, Aquileia, Udine and Treviso, are not far either, and it also worth visiting smaller towns like Portogruaro and Concordia Sagittaria, full of charm and history.
