#UKexplore October 2017
October has been a funny month, full of lovely moments but also some crazy busy stressful times too. I celebrated mny 40th which was amazing and you can see some photos here if you want to see what we got up to, we also had a wonderful week in Wales at Half Term.
Autumn is definitely here and Halloween hit the UK with a bang, pumpkins everywhere!
I’ve not been very prolific on Instagram this month until we got to Wales! So here are some from our week away near Newtown in the Brecon Beacons.
Despite the weather promising to be terrible it’s actually not been too bad. We’ve just put wellies on and raincoats and head out anyway, even if it’s just been around the gardens of the house! @originalcottages Yesterday turned out lovely at times too. Got to love #4seasonsinoneday #ukexplore #visitwales
I tag all my UK days out photographs #UKexplore on Instagram and if you aren’t following me over there I’d love you to do so! You can also keep an eye on what we’ve been getting up to.
Just in case you aren’t aware what #UKexplore is, it is our Instagram community that we have invited you all to join in with and share your favourite places across the UK and your outdoor adventures. To join in it doesn’t have to be a photograph one of the 534 National Trust properties (although we do think they are amazing); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too. It could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a snap and upload it to Instagram so we can all share in your adventures and explore the UK with you. All we ask is that you use the #UKexplore hashtag so we can find you. You don’t have to be a blogger, anyone can join in and be in with a chance to win. So without further ado, who have I chosen this month….
Some of my favourites from October are:

This month’s winner of the Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property of their choice is Cornelius Blog with this beautiful image at Pontypool Park!
I had a phone call from environmental health this morning You can imagine my shock when they introduced theirselves as environmental health and went on to say “I understand your daughter has been ill…” I was wondering what the hell was going on and had so many wild thoughts running through my head It turns out that my Doctors cocked up a little They told me that Aria’s stool sample came back clear and it was just a bug It didn’t come back clear ❌My poor daughter has been suffering with food poisoning and my Doctors failed to tell me Furious is an understatement and there will be a formal complaint being made I know nothing serious came about as a result of it but they told me my daughter was fine when she wasn’t and that is not okay Environmental health are being absolutely fantastic and are working hard to try and figure out where she picked up the food poisoningI went through my bank statement and sent them a (very long) list of all the places that we have eaten out recently which was extremely embarrassing and opened my eyes up to why I’m overweight If anyone else reports having had food poisoning after eating at any of these places there will be an investigation They are also contacting the Council’s for places that we ate outside of our local area to make them aware which is fab. I hadn’t realised how seriously they took it and never even knew it was something that environmental health got involved inThe likelihood is that we won’t ever find out because a lot of cases of food poisoning go undiagnosed and unreported, but it is great that they are taking it so seriously. Of course, it could just be my cooking The main thing is that Aria is better now . . . . . : : : . . . . #WhateverTheWeatherKids #LoveLifeOutside #ChasingNature #ukexplore #WanderlustKids #explorerkids #curiouslittleexplorers #myfamilyadventures #beautyinnature #jj_its_kids #familytravelmoment #freshairandfreedom #gooutside #gooutsideandplay #justgetoutside #kidsoftheoutdoors #letthembewild #lovelywanderings #lovetheoutdoors #naturechild #naturewalk #outdoorfun #outdoorsandfree #outsideeveryday #slowliving #wildandfree #wildandfreechildren #
