#UKexplore – March 2017

AD | I have been or could be if you click on a link in this post compensated via a cash payment, gift or something else of value for writing this post. See our full disclosure policy and privacy policy for more details.

March was a month of two halves weather wise wasn’t it. We had some beautiful weather and it has been so nice to look through all your amazing photos of daffodils and blossom, yet at times we have seen rain, hail and even snow!

We have had some beach trips during March, a day of filming a tennis video (more on that to follow next month) and so many kids parties it’s been a bit of a whirlwind.

It’s also time to start thinking about camping again which we did for the first time last year. Speaking of which check out our amazing competition with Cotswold Outdoor further down the post!!

I tag all my UK days out photographs #UKexplore on Instagram and if you aren’t following me over there I’d love you to do so! You can also keep an eye on what we’ve been getting up to.

#UKexplore continues to grow rapidly and we are so proud to have had over 12,000 photos tagged #UKexplore since we started last year.   Both Rachel and I love scrolling through the hashtag to see what you’ve all been up to and it has turned into such a lovely community.

Just in case you aren’t aware what #UKexplore is, it is our Instagram community that we have invited you all to join in with and share your favourite places across the UK and your outdoor adventures. To join in it doesn’t have to be a photograph one of the 534 National Trust properties (although we do think they are amazing); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too. It could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a snap and upload it to Instagram so we can all share in your adventures and explore the UK with you. All we ask is that you use the #UKexplore hashtag so we can find you. You don’t have to be a blogger, anyone can join in and be in with a chance to win. So without further ado, who have I chosen this month….

Some of my favourites from March are:

Franhigham Mandy Charlton Mrs Jane Morgan

MaidenheadMum Life as Our Little Family Me Hubby and CharlieT

Jessarose Em Wild Strollering the Globe

But this month’s winner of the Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property of their choice is Lee with this amazing shot of rays bursting through heavy storm clouds above the Valley of the Crows (Cwmbran) in SE Wales. In fact I could have chosen 3 of Lee’s photos as the winning shot this month so definitely go and follow his account.

Why not head over to Rachel’s page The Ordinary Lovely, to see her favourites too.

So if joining in with #UKexplore and getting the chance to win a National Trust Day Pass every month wasn’t enough, we have some very exciting news.  To celebrate the fact that we have now had over 12000 photos tagged #UKexplore we’ve teamed up with the National Trust’s official outdoor retail partner Cotswold Outdoor and this month a third overall winner (chosen by the team at the National Trust) will not only win a National Trust Family Day Pass but will also win a huge bundle containing all the gear you need for the perfect family camping trip worth over £1000!!.

It includes a comfortable 4-person tent and even rucksacks for packing up and day trips, this essential kit will give you the perfect excuse to get back to nature.

Camping is more popular than ever, with increasing numbers of people choosing to holiday UK rather than heading abroad. For families with a love of the great outdoors and a sense of adventure, camping is the perfect way to enjoy a low-cost break in some of the country’s most stunning locations. With a bit of planning and the right equipment you can make sure that your trip goes smoothly, leaving you free to explore your surroundings, spend quality time with your loved ones and enjoy sleeping under the stars. What’s more you can Instagram you photos and tag them #UKexplore.

So what’s included in the kit we are giving away – Yes that’s right GIVING AWAY – Kit worth over £1250!!
