#UKexplore January 2019

We’ve been hibernating quite a lot this month due to some freezing cold winds, some busy weeks and an operation for hubby at the beginning of the month, so for lots of reasons I’m looking forward to February starting this weekend.

From the looks of it though the rest of you have been out and about exploring and having fun in the snow too. We now have over 36k photos tagged #UKexplore and we love following the hashtag.

It’s been a bit of an odd few days here hubby has been in hospital for an operation that didn’t go as well as had been hoped. He’s on the mend now but still in hospital so we’ve been a bit quieter than we usually are. However here is a photo from Quarry Bank Mill @nationaltrust just before the chaos started. We met friends and had a lovely catch up. I know the photo isn’t perfect and I’ve missed off the top of Lily’s head but it’s a great photo of a lovely day out. #QuarryBankMill is a great place in winter as so much of what you want to see is inside but there is still places to run around outside if needs be. Love a #nationaltrust day out!

When I am exploring the UK I tag all my UK days out photographs #UKexplore on Instagram and if you aren’t following me over there I’d love you to do so! You can also keep an eye on what we’ve been getting up to.

Just in case you aren’t aware what #UKexplore is, it is our Instagram community that we have invited you all to join in with and share your favourite places across the UK and your outdoor adventures. To join in it doesn’t have to be a photograph one of the 534 National Trust properties (although we do think they are amazing); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too. It could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a snap and upload it to Instagram so we can all share in your adventures and explore the UK with you. All we ask is that you use the #UKexplore hashtag so we can find you. You don’t have to be a blogger, anyone can join in and be in with a chance to win. So without further ado, who have I chosen this month….

This month’s winner of the Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property of their choice is  @lee_collyer with this stunning photograph of The Old Mill, Lower Slaughter posted on their Instagram feed and tagged #UKexplore.

Won’t be out shooting anything this weekend as still recovering from this nasty Virus 📸😓 Might actually venture out of the house for the first time this week though, we’ll see. In the Mean time at least I still have a few shots from last weekend in the The Slaughter’s. • 📌The Old Mill, Lower Slaughter • • • • • #cotswoldlife #cotswolds #exploretocreate #walkinguk #ukexplore #uk_greatshots #ukpotd #ukexplore #scenicbritain #ukshots #uk_shots #uk_shooters #UK_Enthusiasts #ukscenery #igersuk #thecotswolds #justgoshoot #shooteverything #photosofbritain #capturingbritain #excellent_britain #bestukpics #reflectionpic #outdoorphotography #photographyislifee #reflectiongram #gloriousbritain #reflection_shotz #reflection_super_pics #uk_photooftheday
