Travel Tips: Slumbersac

Share

I have been using baby sleeping bags ever since my eldest was born 8 years ago. I love the simplicity of them and the lack of worry about blankets ending up over faces or kicked off.

The Slumbersac has taken this one step further and also includes sleeves, which I’ve not seen on a sleeping bag before. I’ve been using it for my 7 month old son for a couple of weeks and have been very impressed. He’s snuggly warm, even on the recent freezing nights and I’m looking forward to taking it camping in the summer as it’s finally an answer to the question of how to keep baby warm but not too hot in a tent.

The sleeves have elasticated cuffs so don’t slip up the baby’s arm. It’s well made and very soft. It has washed well and is ok for the tumble drier.
My youngest son has Talipes so has to wear a boot on his foot at night. The sleeping bag has helped to prevent him kicking out with his boot on at night, so I will be recommending it to other parents on the Talipes journey too. The bag is wide enough for the Ponseti boots and bar!
I’ve taken a look at the rest of the range and am going to invest in some of the lighter weight versions in the Spring and Summer (they go from 0.5 tog to 3.5 tog). There is a useful guide on the packaging on how much clothing baby should be wearing underneath too, as it’s so important to avoid overheating.
Overall: Highly Recommended
NB: We were sent the sleeping bag in order to provide a review, but all thoughts and opinions are our own.
