The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Epstein Theatre Liverpool

Share

Yesterday we were invited to The Epstein Theatre to a launch party celebrating The Tiger Who Came to Tea which will be Live on Stage at The Epstein Theatre in Liverpool from Tuesday 9th June to Sunday 14th June 2015. Tickets are £12.  The book (which is a huge favourite of my three) is written by Judith Kerr. I loved it when I was little and it brings back really fond childhood memories.

The stage play is adapted and directed by David Wood OBE and is a GREEEAT musical play.  One to watch if you’ve never had a Tiger visit you for tea!  There are sing-a-long songs, oodles of magic and interactive fun.

Yesterday all the children were invited up on stage to listen to the story, and they sat riveted whilst the Tiger watched on.  The Epstein Theatre is a beautiful small theatre in Liverpool City Centre which has been lovingly renovated and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t visited before. Within very easy walking distance of Central station we will definitely be visiting again.  Hopefully at Easter when there is going to be an Easter pantomime. What a great idea!

A tea party and face painting followed the story time, and the cakes were just fab.  A special mention for the thought that went into the tiger balloons too, whilst a nightmare to get three home on the train, the long string meant the balloons didn’t get stuck on the ceiling!
