2. Glynn Barton

Sarah told us this was by far the most child friendly accommodation she had ever been to, it seems that they have thought about absolutely everything. She said she was not usually one for reviews and if she does it’s usually like ‘good location, nice food’ etc but she does use them herself. To read more of Sarah’s review click here. 3. The Valley

If you have visited The Valley, we would love a review submitting. Hidden away in 13 acres of gardens and woodland this looks like a perfect family escape.  Indoor and outdoor swimming pools and little tikes play areas combine to make this wonderfully child friendly, but also 5* luxury.

4.  Tredethick Farm Cottages

Naomi and Dave Jones visited Tredethick Farm Cottages and had the most perfect holiday, so they got in touch to tell us about it.

They said “The team at Tredethick understand families perfectly. The facilities are all of such a high quality and there is so much to do (animal feeding, indoor play area, soft play, outside playground and areas, toy sheds, indoor heated swimming pool). The difference with Tredethick is that they must regularly reinvest in the business as everything is clean and modern. And there are sitting areas with free tea and coffee in the soft play area!” To read more click here.

5. Bosinver Farm Cottages

If you google  â€˜child friendly holiday U.K.’ you very often find glowing reviews for a place called Bosinver.  Bosinver is child friendly holiday accommodation set on 30 acres of farm land near St Austell in Cornwall. Toy boxes are included in every cottage, and if the weather isn’t great, you can borrow DVDs, games even baking equipment for little ones! But that is literally just the start. On site, there is an amazing heated swimming pool. Swim noodles and some other equipment are available for general use. Just outside the swimming pool is a terrace where you can relax and dry off if the weather permits. There are tennis courts, a games room (housing table tennis and pool tables), an indoor soft play area, an outdoor zip slide and tunnel slide (firm favourites withchildren) and a Gruffalo trail through woodland.  There is also a fabulous play area which comprises large wooden tractors with slides and scramble nets, a sandpit, swings and a trampoline. It’s a great place to get chatting to other families. For more of this review by Sally, click here.

6. Bedruthan Steps

Step beyond the slightly shabby exterior, and enter a contemporary, modern world that caters for children and adults alike. Bedruthan Steps is on the north coast of Cornwall, a few miles from Padstow. It markets itself as a boutique, child friendly hotel, and it delivers. From the moment our reader arrived, they were made to feel at home. Welcomed by a host of young, friendly, professional staff, they dumped their suitcases in their bright and spacious room and began exploring.  The hotel boasts a great outdoor play area which the kids made a beeline for. With a pirate ship, a wendy house and a zip wire, it caters for all ages. There’s also a football pitch and some toy diggers to play on, and a playroom with a pool table, table hockey and a TV. 7. Sands Resort

Another place that people highly recommend.  The Sands have Spacious two-room suites, holiday entertainment, kids’ clubs, lots of activities as well as a popular baby listening service ensure that you have a fantastic family holiday in Cornwall.  There is a fabulous review on Jo’s blog Kiddie Holidays here.  Her summary is that “Everything is easy, and everyone is happy. We will be back.”

8. White Acres Holiday Park

Karen from Stopping at Two visited White Acres Holiday Park with her husband and children and wrote a fabulous review for Mini Travellers which you can read here. They loved their holiday and would definitely visit again.  Unlike some of the other places in this list White Acres is a caravan site with lodges too which makes it very good value.

9. Trecombe Lakes

Stevie Couch recommends Trecombe Lakes which is just five minutes away from Falmouth in Cornwall. Of all the holidays she has been on this small 3 night stay is one of her favourites!  Stevie writes “I’m not a great one for camping, wayyyy too many insects for my liking, not to mention the horrendous state of most communal camping toilet facilities. However after going to Trecombe I could definitely get used to the idea of Glamping!” To read the full review click here.

10. Gwel an Mor

Last but not least is Gwel an Mor. We have a lovely review on the site about Gwel an Mor by a reader which you can read here. We love the sound of the hot tubs here at Mini Travellers and the view of the sea. The website shows you sheer luxury in stunning pine holiday lodges, only a short stroll from one of the best sandy beaches in Cornwall. Discover The Residence – an amazing new collection of designer eco-lodges, hailed by the Telegraph as one of the hottest developments in Cornwall for 2015, saying “The Residence takes eco-lodges to a whole new level.

  1. Thank you lovely mini travellers for including us in your top 10 line up. I’d love to think I was part of the reason everyone loves it here, but it is really Farmer Nick on the morning feed run who charms all the children and parents alike sharing his love of the farm.

  2. I don’t know if I’ve been to Cornwall! I’ve been to Devon definitely but Cornwall I’m not sure. It looks so beautiful but is sooooo far away from, it’d be an awfully long drive! Hopefully we’ll go there one day though! #sundaystars

  5. Some great advice here, Cornwall is definitely one of the best places to holiday with a young family. It’s home to gorgeous beaches and you’ll never be short of activities come rain or shine. There are loads of farms and outdoor adventures that kids are sure to love. You’re even blessed with better weather than the rest of the UK (generally speaking). It really is the kind of place where it’s pretty impossible not to feel relaxed!
