Tattershall Farm Park

Tattershall Farm Park is less than 2 miles away from Tattershall Lakes and so it was an obvious choice when we were staying there for a week. When I contacted the farm park and said we would like to come to review their response was yes we would love you to come, but please bear in mind we are a small attraction and not an Alton Towers style experience…

Having visited and spent practically a full day there I think they were under selling themselves somewhat.

Yes the farm is a little less bright and less sharply marketed as maybe some farm parks we have visited, but all the required parts are there! There is an animal feeding/holding pretty much hourly and we enjoyed the rabbits and the snakes particularly (not together!) and wish we had done the egg collecting but we forgot about that in the excitement of the zip wire and the bouncy castle.

The little park had enough to keep our kids (all between 6 and 2) entertained for a couple of hours and there are picnic benches all around for lunch. There is also a cafe which served very good cake and what looked like good lunches too. We are a picnic family though, particularly on holiday when we are trying to keep the costs down.  There is always enough money for ice cream though – always!

The jewel in the crown though for me (particularly if we lived locally) was the large soft play with comfy sofas! All too often soft play have hard chairs in so that once they’ve had your money they don’t really care how long you stay. This place felt like they were actively encouraging you to stay! What a treat.

Overall the farm park had a really nice feel to it and I can recommend it for a day trip of you’re in the area.

Why not PIN this post to remind you for another time.

  1. lol I just came across your post for our local farm. We have passes for here and live round the corner…literally!! We often chill on the sofas while the kids run around. I agree it is a full day out. They have great year round events now too. Pony riding next weekend for example 🙂
