Swimwear and Beachwear for Kids

Share

Here at Mini Travellers we have been excitedly getting ready for our holiday to Greece. We appreciate most of you will already know that as we haven’t stopped talking about it. We had such a wonderful time last year at Mousses that we have booked to go again this year. However after the success of our Mark Warner Holiday earlier in the year we think we will be trying out their summer holidays next year.

Anyway less about that, and more about what we are packing, what swimwear for kids are we taking?  Our girls all LOVE swimming. They will basically spend their entire time in the pool or on the beach, so we’ve had to make sure we have brilliant UV swimwear so they can have as much fun as they like, whilst staying safe in the sun.  To try and make the dressing up fun too (maybe for me really) we’ve got hats, we’ve got rash vests, we’ve got kaftans and swim dresses and we have of course got the fantastic Splash About UV Float Suits in which Lily learnt to swim last year in Lanzarote.

In the picture above I am wearing a Seafolly Kaftan from House of Fraser, a Seafolly bikini which you can’t see and my fab new prescription sunglasses. The twins are wearing their Splash About rash vests and Lily her Sunuva feathers rash vest.

These rash vests are from Splash About. RRP is £17.99 although the pink one is currently on sale at £12.99 which is a bargain. These are perfect for popping over the top of a swimming costume and with UV 50+ they give great protection from the sun.

We’ve had great fun trying on these Havaianas. Prices start at £16 but the ones the girls are wearing are Disney naturally and are £20. They LOVE them. Find them here.

The colours of these amazing UV swimsuits (below), kaftans and rash vests (above) are fantastic. Sunuva is a new find for us this year and we have already had lots of Instagram love for the reversible heart pink/green swimsuit and the feathers kaftan. We absolutely love the feathers range, everything feels incredibly well made and it is fantastic to know that both the swimsuit and the rash vest are made from breathable UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays. The reversible heart costume and rash vest is also stunning. In fact the whole range is, do go over and take a look. The swimsuits start from £38 and the rash vets from £39.

The cute straw hats are from Peacocks and at just £6 are a complete bargain.

Splash About now have a Designer Holiday Shop and one of the ranges that really caught our eye is L’historie de Birdy. Within this range there are swimming costumes, rash vests, bikinis and the dress and hat that Lily is wearing. Lily loves the fact that she can go in the pool in this dress and has already told us she will be wearing the hat all the time in the pool to stop her getting sick (she had too much sun one day last year and wasn’t well). The hat is £14.99 and the dress £24.99.

We always try to buy white sandals for the girls for holidays so they will pretty much go with everything. Cloggs do a fantastic range of kids sandals and Lily is delighted to have a pair of Birkenstocks like Mummy. Izzy is wearing a pair of Bobux sandals that Lily had last year that are remarkably still white and Eve’s are Hush Puppies.

We raved about these swimsuits last year as Lily wore one the whole time in Lanzarote and came back able to swim. We love the fact that the girls will be safe in the pool wearing these and that steadily we can start to take out the floats and maybe teach them to swim too. We also think they look incredibly cute in these matching ones. The Splash About UV Floatsuits start at £26.99. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

At the end of the day when they’ve finished in the pool we can wrap them up in these Saltrock Hoodys. We always take something like this on holiday to travel in, to use after the pool to warm up, in case it is cold (whispers that one quietly) and then to come home in. The girls sometimes love having things that match. These hoodys are currently a bargain at £7.50 each.

If any of you have seen my Instagram packing picture you will know that isn’t all we are packing (!?!) but it is definitely a start!

NB: We were provided with the majority of the items in this post for the purpose of the review, but all thoughts and views are my own.

  3. You really look like you are already for some fun in the sun. Do you think that Sunuva make the feather kaftan and costumes in adult sizes? Because they are gorgeous. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
