Sanity at Faro Airport

Adeus Faro!

For those with little ones, there is a children’s play area in Faro airport which helps pass the hour or so between baggage drop and being called to the gate. After security, but before passport control, head past all the shops to the far end of the terminal where there is a big Costa and the area is to the right. There is a slide, tunnel, highchairs and a microwave, and most excitingly a vending machine which sells wipes, juices, pureed food and kid’s snacks – almost the highlight of the trip, especially as you don’t have to shove your arm in the machine and perform a double jointed wrist action to get hold of the thing you have paid for, but that hasn’t properly fallen into the drawer!
