I’ve just spent a glorious 4 days and 3 nights at Sani Dunes, the newest stunning addition to the Sani collection of luxury hotels in Halkidiki.
My trip was without exception perfect (and the company of Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos made the trip) but there were 5 reasons I loved Sani Dunes particularly and am planning a return trip with my hubby!

Location
Sani Dunes has an amazing beachfront location and all the stunning apartments have practically direct access to the largest heated swimming pool in Greece. From the apartments next to reception (which I would say are the furthest from the beach) it would take you less than 5 minutes to gently saunter to the beach. They are all exceptionally close.
2. The Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is not only large and heated (what’s not to love) but it is beautiful to look at and so incredibly calming to be beside. There is no irritating gurgling, and the water simply laps onto the side making it inviting to step in.
3. The Volvo Experience
In conjunction with Volvo, Sani takes you on a trip around the Kassandra Peninsula. This experience is exclusively for guests of Sani Dunes , is complimentary and takes you down forest tracks, through olive groves and along dramatic cliff top paths. The highlight of our trip was a stop at the tip of Cape Posidi where we were treated to not only magnificent views of the Aegean and Mount Olympus but served champagne and fruit! It was stunning.
4. The Sunset Cruise
On our first night at Sani Dunes we took a Sunset Cruise from the Marina at 8.30pm. It was only half an hour/maybe 45 minutes but it was such a stunning way to see the sun set over the horizon. As I think has to be the ‘Sani’ way we were also served champagne to toast the occasion and the light at the time of the evening made for some lovely photos. It was a great trip and definitely not to be missed.
5. Grown Up Luxury
Luxury is something that is in abundance every where you look at Sani, but something about the grown up nature of this at Sani Dunes makes it extra special. The attention to detail, like the other properties, is there without exception, but there are lots of quiet spaces, places to reflect with or without a cocktail in hand. I loved the Spa with its chill out area and large steam rooms, I loved the bar that overlooked the pool with its sleek lines and I loved the food in the Dunes restaurant that certainly didn’t serve spaghetti bolognaise and instead served Michelin-starred food.

Well, doesn’t this just look like paradise. That 2nd shot of the gorgeous water and the beach makes me want a flight immediately. (doesn’t help that we’re in the middle of monsoon here in Seoul, and haven’t seen the sun in days). 🙁 #mondayescapes
Over the years I have often looked at the Sani resorts and so many times I’ve ‘nearly’ booked a holiday there. Now we are looking at couples’ holidays again, I’m tempted by Sani Dunes, even if they have started allowing the little ones!

What a beautiful resort! I love the sounds of the Volvo Experience and the sunset cruise. What a wonderful treat for mums and dads if you can squeeze in a child-free trip. But also great news that they’ve included families in 2018. Family holidays should definitely include a spot of luxury!
Well – sunsets and champagne, what’s not to love! This resort sounds incredible, and I’m glad they’re opening it up to younger children too. Of course, it will change the feel of the place, but that means we can go too! #MondayEscapes
Thanks for sharing! We’ve been last year to Sani and whilst we loved most of the facilities, it felt too often like a luxury creche 😉 We stayed mostly at the Hotel & a bit at the Club and wrote about it in here: https://zenbabytravel.com/2016/06/27/sani-beach-june-2016/. But it’s true each of the Sani’s has its own personality and it looks like the Dunes managed to steer away very beautifully from that!

I think the age restriction should stay as our boys have got older we crave a less kiddy environment however I do think families will favour being nearer to the kids clubs, I loved Sani Dunes such a beautiful place to visit x
