Good Morning and welcome to Monday Escapes, you’ll find the link up at the bottom of this post!
I hope you’ve all had a fantastic half term. We’ve been in Turkey and had a fantastic time. The kids have literally loved it and if they are having a lovely time then we do too. Check out some of our Instagram photos.
We are going to miss waking up to this view @kalkanregency Where we have been hosted this week. I think the kids have had one of their best trips ever as there were so many children there of the same age. You can only book this hotel through @simpsontravel and if you love small friendly hotels then this is definitely one for you. #Kalkan itself is such a fab place with so many wonderful restaurants including @restauranttrio Olive Garden and @kalkanlal Lal! #kalkanrestaurants #familytravel
Yesterday we had a fab day at #PataraBeach which is only about 15 minutes away from the @kalkanregency where we are being hosted by @simpsontravel we had such a fun day on the beach which is really beautiful (pop over to @simpsontravel to see a photo) or take a look at our stories over there too. The biggest hit of the day was however the bodyboarding on the blow up @zoggsuk batman board! They just loved it. #familytavel
It’s the flowers and the colours and just this view! We are loving the @kalkanregency breakfasts and watching the world go by from up here. @simpsontravel really do know how to pick a great hotel. We are off to #PataraBeach today for a little explore so check in with us later on our Instagram stories to see what it’s like. #familytravel
On to Monday Escapes…
This week Monday Escapes is being hosted by me and Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos. You’ll find the link up tool below!
Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. If you want to share your favourite snapshots – whether it’s a famous sight, scene, dramatic view or even a favourite family photo, then please feel free to link those up, too. Likewise, posts don’t have to be about holidays or weekends away, they can also include day trips, walks, attractions – any travel experience that you want to share.
This week I am hosting Monday Escapes and you can link up at the bottom of this post.
We are also absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!
What’s in it for you?
The number one thing is you’ll be sharing your fantastic posts with a like-minded community and grabbing some travel inspiration for yourself. As a bonus you have a chance to have your blog post featured on all four of the hosts’ blogs each fortnight, introducing your blog to even more people.
Our favourite posts from last time
Here’s the posts that caught Lisa and Claire’s eyes last time:
This post by Dawn who writes 5 Lost Together is brilliant for anyone planning a similar trip to Uluru. I’d heard that Uluru was far out and that probably would have put me off, but this has made me think again!
Claire said: This was hilarious to read and the videos also made me chuckle. A great reminder by the Gilbert family that travel doesn’t have to be serious. In fact, the crazier the better for making memories!
Lisa said:My kids are desperate for a dog and the main thing that puts me off is the logistics of what we would do with it when travelling so I found this post very enlightening! You clearly can still travel with a pooch.
Lisa said: “Like Nicky, I have recently visited the SS Great Britain with my family and can also vouch that it is a brilliant family friendly attraction. (Also like Nicky, I climbed the rigging and attempted to walk across the yard arm… its not for the faint hearted. My legs shake just thinking about it! Fantastic birds eye views over Bristol though!)
We chose Grand Adventure Story as our favourite this week so do get in touch to claim your prize!
So how do you join in this time?
* Link up one post/photo – old or new using the InLinkz tool below!
* Please make sure to include the Monday Escapes badge at the bottom of the post, on your site, or a link back to the hosts.
* Posts are anything travel-related, and can include photos, reviews, days out, attractions and walks – at home or abroad.

will be sure to retweet.
Monday Escapes will go live every two weeks, alternating between the hosts and will be open Monday to Wednesday. Every fortnight we will be giving a shout out to some of our favourite posts and photos.
There is also a Monday Escapes Pinterest Board – so if you’d like to start pinning some of your favourite photos, do get in touch.
