Welcome Back to Monday Escapes on Monday 22nd May.
We’ve not been sitting around doing nothing though and we have been getting on top of all the posts we’ve needed to write after our crazy busy Easter break. We head off to Rwanda on Friday so it is really all about that at the moment. I must pack!!
Here are just a few of our Instagram photos if you missed them!
I was a little bit scared on this one!!! Decided just to go for it though. #smiling #mum #ttot #familytravel #travelwithchildren #travelwithkids #travelkids #igtravel #trips100 #traveltheworld #showthemtheworld #myfamilyadventures #traveltherenext #postcardsfromtheworld #traveldeeper #travelstroke #travelling #trip #getaway#travelblog #instago #travelpics #tourist#wanderer #wanderlust #travelphoto#travelingram #ourweekendadventure
I do post a similar picture to this a lot: it’s on my run route and I allow myself a moment to breathe when I get here. Today I ran 8 miles which means my half marathon target is still a way off. But I have 8 weeks to go and I will do it! 2nd July is the date! #runninggirl #halfmarathontraining #runlikeagirl #runlikecrazy
We have been looking back at our Portugal trip this week:
We are also absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!
Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. If you want to share your favourite snapshots – whether it’s a famous sight, scene, dramatic view or even a favourite family photo, then please feel free to link those up, too. Likewise, posts don’t have to be about holidays or weekends away, they can also include day trips, walks, attractions – any travel experience that you want to share.
Claire and Lisa’s favourite posts from the last Monday Escapes are:
Tracey from Tracy’s Travel’s in Time spent 2016 visiting as many of the designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the UK as possible. She has put together a post featuring 26 of the UNESCO UK sites with short descriptions and inspiring photos which has really made me want to visit a few that have been on my travel wish list for a long time… the Giants Causeway and Stonehenge. (Stonehenge Lisa is ashamed to say is literally down the road from her and she still haven’t visited!)
