Luxury Camping in France

Share

Camping in France has for a long time been popular but if you’re anything like me then whilst I like camping for the weekend, I’m not a huge fan of camping for much longer than that so I’ve not done much camping abroad. I like home comforts too much and I like to be able to sleep on something that feels comfortable.

My kids however they love camping. What they love and what I love is that from the minute we arrive on a campsite to the moment we leave there is a feeling of freedom. They loved the wide open spaces of campsites. The fact that someone is always kicking a football around or playing cricket or rounders, and they love the fact that we abandon any rules about bedtime too.  For this reason I’ve always felt like we should do more camping in Europe and make more of a week of it.

So when I heard about Yelloh! Village Luxury Camping who have a tag line “Camping that’s fit for a king!” I knew I had to check it out.

Yelloh! Village have an enormous range of luxury camping options available on their campsites including mobile homes, cottages, tree cabins, chalets, and even gypsy caravans, as well as furnished tents.   Their luxury camping options mean you stay on a campsite, giving the kids the campsite experience but without having to actually camp if that’s not your thing.

How about camping Le Chaponnet for your next holiday in the Vendée? Chalet Sésame, looks beautiful with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a large terrace for soaking up the lovely weather with your family or friends. If luxury camping in France is what you’re after, this is it.

If you choose one of their Club campsites then you’ll be able to enjoy wellness in the mornings, bathing in the afternoons and fun & festivities in the evenings.  If a quieter holiday is more your idea of fun, then their authentic campsites in the countryside sound delightful.  At these sites there is less watersports and discos and more local heritage and walks off the beaten track!

Whilst I started looking into Yelloh! Village Luxury Camping for luxury camping in France, I soon realised that Yelloh! Village is not just a French thing.  They have 84 campsites in the loveliest regions of France, Spain and Portugal too.

My kids are now 8 and 7 and we didn’t really consider camping with them until they were 6ish, but this doesn’t have to be the case. Luxury camping options provided by companies like Yelloh! Village give you a way to get a taster of camping before you try the real thing, and you can even come back to their sites with your own tent as they have some fabulous pitches for your own tent too.
