We’ve taken the kids to a few festivals in the past and are looking forward to trying out Larmer Tree this summer. It looks like there are plenty of things to keep the boys happy, as well as plenty of music and workshops for us too.

Some highlights that us grown ups are looking forward to:

Jamie Cullum and The Stranglers, plus the rest of the line up. There are many-an-album on our playlists now that have appeared after a good set at a festival!

The comedy stage: we love live comedy but don’t get to see as much of it as our pre-parenthood days.

We will be going to see Kate Adie’s talk too, especially as she’s from the North East like us!

I’m undecided about which workshops to try yet – too much choice!

The food: farmers’ market, global food stalls and beer tents. Bring it on!

And for the kids…

Harry, aged 8 says: I like going to festivals to see the bands and try the different food stalls. The magic shows sound good and I want to go to the Samba Drumming workshop.

Joey, aged 5 says: I’m excited for the magic shows and I want to go to the Bubble Disco. We are going to see Mr Bloom. I hope he brings his veggies!

Nico, aged 1 doesn’t say much at all but if he could, I bet he’d be excited about exploring the under 5’s area and his mummy is very pleased that there’s a nappy changing tent.
