Each year locations around the country celebrate the day that Guy Fawkes and his crew were thwarted in their attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament by holding fireworks events and bonfires.

Here we’ve rounded up some of the most popular bonfire and fireworks events in North Yorkshire for 2022!

North Yorkshire

Bolton Abbey, Skipton

It is not yet known if Bolton Abbey will hold its annual bonfire and firework display in 2022.

NEW for 2022 Food Village, featuring fantastic local providers, with traditional good quality food as well as something different, they will be providing a great choice of savoury and sweet options to tempt you.  There will also be hot and cold drinks available.

We have again joined up with Great Driffield Radio for in-car and on- foot entertainment and they are promising a fun filled night.

Our professional Firework Display Company have fired thousands of large scale public displays in the UK and Europe, they regularly compete in national competitions and are highly commended.  They bring their experience and passion for fireworks to us at Driffield this year and are promising a really great, long duration, bigger and better show in 2022.

VIP Drive in Parking Available with seating space next to your car on the main display field (Advance Purchase ONLY you must purchase a VIP Parking Pass)  Limited Availability.

Tickets Priced Per Person (Advance Special Offer Prices available) 

Car parking will be available but this will be in a separate area of the Showground and not on the display field.  If you would like to park near to the display you should purchase a VIP Parking Pass.

Radio Entertainment will commence at 5:30pm with the main display at approximately 7:15 pm (times to be confirmed). A Full Itinerary will be published on our Facebook page prior to the event with event attendance information.

Sledmere House, Driffield

It’s the 7th year of our fantastic Musical Firework Spectacular event and it’s set to be the best!

This is the event we’ve all been waiting for and this year it’s definitely going to be the best Musical Fireworks Spectacular yet! We have some fantastic tunes ready to accompany the most amazing big bangs and mesmerising colours to light up the sky with a spectacular display!

This year’s theme is ‘SLEDMERE ROCKS!’ and we have the fantastic, local band ‘This House we Built’ joining us for a performance before the display. They will also be playing their brand new single, Fly me up to the Moon, for the very first time, which they filmed the video for right here in Sledmere House!

The Coach House Café will be on site offering some hot and tasty bonfire treats and refreshments. You can also enjoy all the fun of the fair before the display on the rides and attractions.

Gates open from 4.00pm and the display will begin at 7.30pm.

We are thrilled to have The Driffield and Wolds Weekly as our media partners again this year and the fantastic Fireworks display team, Blaze and Sound and lighting from Pulse audio visual.

Selby Bonfire & Firework Event

Saturday 5th November 2022

Planning is well underway for this year’s event. Last year’s Selby Bonfire and Fireworks event was fabulous, and we can’t wait for this years!

This year’s event is to be held on Saturday 5 November on Scott Road Community Field.

Enjoy burgers, hog roast, hot dogs, candy floss and doughnuts while you wait for the first of the 2 firework displays at 7pm and 7.45pm. Keep warm with a coffee and a hot chocolate while the children have fun on the rides and stalls.

The event is another FREE event for all the family provided by Selby Town Council, however, donations are gratefully received by the Charity collectors on the gate.

The gates open at 6.00pm, come along and enjoy the children’s fairground rides while you wait for the bonfire to be lit at 6.30pm by the Mayor of Selby, Cllr Wendy Nichols.

Filey Lions Bonfire & Firework Display

5th November 2022, Bonfire will be lit at 6.00pm. Firework at 7.00pm. No charge for Admission.

West Avenue Car Park, Filey

The Stray, Harrogate

The Harrogate Round Table are organisers of the Harrogate Stray Charity Fireworks. Being one of the few remaining fireworks events where an entry fee is not charged, Harrogate Round Table are reliant on the generosity of the public on the evening to donate as much as they can afford to this year’s supported charity.

Fireworks – 7:30pm

The fireworks are held on the Stray alongside Oatlands Drive, close to St. Aidans School. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity so it is recommended that attendees arrive on foot.

Tockwith Show Bonfire and Firework Display
