We know from experience that doing family friendly tours in cities with people who know the city like the back of their hand can turn a trip from something quite tricky with children into something incredibly special.

Mini Travellers absolutely LOVED their Family Friendly Tapsy Tours of Rome a few years back so when we were heading to Florence this Summer we decided to interview Tapsy Tours to give families the chance to learn more about Tapsy Tours in Florence.
If you’d like to find out more about Tapsy Tours when you’ve read their interview why not head over to read their blog!
What age range do you think your tours are most suitable for? Tapsy Tours are most suitable for children from 6 to 12 years old, because during the tours kids take part in games and riddles by reading them in a booklet. However, if they are younger and they can’t read, with the help of older children, they can really enjoy the tour.
What languages do your tour guides speak? Tapsy Tours can be run in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian.
If people have never been to Florence before what tour would you recommend? If families have never been to Florence, I would recommend them to take the Tapsy Tour of Florence, to discover the highlights of the city in a fun and cultural way.
What is your favorite tour to take of the city? We have developed the Tapsy Tour of Florence to cover the highlights and most interesting places of the city: The Basilica of the Holy Cross, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza del Mercato Nuovo, Orsanmichele Church, Piazza del Duomo, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Saint Laurence and the surprising Leonardo Da Vinci museum.

How do you get across the information to children but still make the tour interesting for adults? Tapsy Tours have been designed to engage both children and adults. In fact, our guides, besides being kid-friendly, are extremely informative for all ages. For example, at every step of the Tapsy Tour of Florence, the guide explains the history and curiosities about the highlight of the city in a way kids can also understand and keep them engaged by running related games and riddles.
Why do you think people should choose a Tapsy Tour over some of the other tours in the city? The Tapsy Tours of Florence is unique because, unlike most family tours in the city that focus on being either just cultural for parents or amusing for children, it merges both kids’ and parents’ needs. When families take part on a Tapsy Tours, both parents and kids can learn while having fun: it’s a win-win situation!
What kind of prices do your tours start at? Why do you think they are great value for money? Prices for private tours depend on the number of people in the group. For example, the group price for a family of 4 people would be €330 and it can be booked either contacting us by e-mail (info@tapsy.eu) or online, for example through Get Your Guide. The Tapsy Tour of Florence is great value for money for including a private tour with a licensed guide and the entrance fee to Leonardo Da Vinci’s museum.
In what other cities do you do tours? We run tours in several destinations in Italy (Rome, Pompeii and Alberobello) and in Europe, such as London, Stonehenge, Paris, Marseille, Barcelona, Lisbon, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and many others.
