A guest post by Amy Cooper who writes a fab blog called  Everything Mummy and tweets at @AmyCooperEM. She travelled to Butlins with her young family and wrote the following review:
Yesterday we got back from out first little trip as a family of 5, I’m not going to lie before we left I was bricking it I had visions of the kids running riot losing them in a busy resort, them getting bored and hating the food. But I was so pleasently suprised it was brilliant we had such a great time.
We we’re staying at butlins, Bognor Regis in the ocean hotel; the room itself was nice comfortable beds, little fridge, cupboard space, iron and hair dryer tea & coffee facilities all in there already. The girls had there own little bit within the room as a bedroom, they loved their ‘holiday bedroom’.
I absolutely loved the shower – is that abit sad? Maybe it was great though ha!
The only negative I have about the room is that we selected the option to bring our own travel cot, which I didn’t because Lottie is always in our bed, but should we of there wouldn’t of been space for it unless we blocked off the wardrobe or fridge so I’m very glad we didn’t! Could do with a little more space.

Next up food, we added on the diners choice option which give your breakfast and dinner (not including drinks) in the hotels restaraunt. It was a buffet style and it was delicious every time!
Breakfast was a choice of fry up, omlettes, pancakes, continental options fruits and yogurts – yes I did have a fry up every single morning whoops!
Dinner was lovely every night there was a selection of different starters, mains and deserts all child friendly, I was worried about the kids not liking the food but thankfully there were no such problems! They also had Heinz  jars for the babies aswell so that’s a nice touch. We ate there every evening you could get a voucher from the reception and dine in another resteraunt but It was so good in there we didn’t feel the need.

Entertainment was great the kids always had something to do during the day whether it was some messy play, watching a show or taking part in an activity, our favorites we’re definety; tots soccer the guy who ran this just had a way with children that got them all involved listening to exactly what he said I’d love to know his secret.
Angelina ballerina; Maisy was soo excited about seeing her so we did the dance class twice and she had her picture with her which was £7 bit steep but she’s thrilled with it.
In the evenings we headed up to centre stage it started off with some music where all the kids danced round like loonies with mad flashing lights – they loved it, and then a show would start you could really see all the effort that was put into the production my favourite was the blues brothers was brilliant. The girls we’re scared to death of scooby doo though we left that one after about 10 mins!
There was just so much to do for free the fair ground, indoor tots rides, splash pool(brilliant) soft play and then there’s all the extras bits that you have to pay for high ropes, mini golf, bowling ect at every turn theres arcade games or teddy machines it can all add up a so I’d advise saving up your change before you go for these!

Overall a fantastic few days just what we needed, the girls didn’t want to leave! And we’ve been looking to go again next year already, brilliant for families with young children they’ll never be bored!
