Review:

Bounce Below Junior is a series of three trampolines with stairs and tunnels connecting them. It’s a lot of fun and I’ve used press photos of the experience because not only are my photos of the experience terrible because the lighting is so dark but also because actually you are consistently being bounced around on the trampoline net and the ability to take a sproper photograph is impossible!

When we first got down there I did question whether we would have enough time with an hour ie would we get our moneys worth.  However having started I soon realised that an hour is actually enough as it’s quite tiring and it isn’t actually that huge. In reality there is only so many times children can go up and down the same for slides.  For mine it was just about the right about of time although I did see a few families leave after about 40 minutes.

Tip 1 :  You have to wear the right clothes! Check on the website what that is before you go, but we had to wear closed toed shoes,  trainers are ideal and you have to wear long trousers and long sleeve T-shirts as the nets are quite tough and they don’t want you to get your feet stuck in the nets.  Sadly we hadn’t checked the website before we went and so weren’t allowed to bounce on the first day we tried to visit. Try explaining that to 3 under 5!

Tip 2: If you’re visiting the Slate mines generally wear layers whatever the weather, as even if the sun is shining outside,  it’s going to be cooler in the slate mine anyway!

Tips 3: Take bottles of water down with you because the kids do get quite exhausted when they’re jumping around on the trampoline!

My three would like to go back to Bounce Below Junior but I think we will wait until they are all 7 and can go on the one for grown ups too, as I’d love to have a go myself! Following a massive refurbishment in 2016, the Bounce Below experience now offers four new industrial slides, the height of two double decker buses and six new levels of bouncing fun, giving underground adventurers 400 additional square metres to explore – wohoo!

If you combine this with a trip round the slate mines and maybe the zip wire too, you’ll have a ball! We stayed at Surf Snowdonia and travelled to Bounce Below Junior from there.
