Away Resorts – Home of The Great British Holiday

Share

When Away Resorts got in touch a few weeks ago to talk to us about visiting I clicked on their website and got really quite excited.  I hadn’t heard of them before and the reason I got excited was the website looks really really good! Now I know websites don’t mean everything about a place, but I do think if people/places care about their appearance online (and what people think of them) then you have a good chance that they will care about what their accommodation looks like and the appearance of their parks when you actually get there.  This was only my first impression and I can’t say this from experience yet…. But I will be able to after the 30 July as we are spending the first week of the Summer Holidays at Tattershall Lakes and I really can’t wait.

I am also hugely excited to be able to give you, my readers, the chance to experience a holiday with Away Resorts this year by entering our competition to WIN A 7 DAY HOLIDAY below!

Being a travel blogger we are lucky enough to get invited to quite a lot of places and I don’t always say yes, but I had no doubts about saying yes to holidaying with Away Resorts.  Their customer experience has so far been very impressive and their team will help you decide which of their resorts and what sort of accommodation is right for you and your family.

We are excited to be staying in a Luxury Lodge, but there are mobile homes, chalets, camping sites, canvas tents and half board rooms to choose from.

Tattershall Lakes has a lot of water sports and recent development has ensured that the facilities are top notch (there are multiple dining and socialising venues, a spa, Jacuzzi, outdoor water play etc. There are loads of activities happening on the park itself (archery, paintball, puppets etc) and it feels very vibrant. As a result of being a big park there are lots of families and so it may feel quite “full on” when the park is full in summer.

Barmouth Bay in Wales is a lot quieter and the focus of the holiday will be on exploring the region and the beach rather than the on-site activities. Because its a smaller park, there aren’t the same levels of planned activities as they have on the bigger parks, and I know for some families this will be exactly what you want.

Whitecliff Bay is more about the traditional beach holiday and you have the vibe of the Isle of Wight pace of life. They have a lot of on-park activities in Summer for families.

Mill Rythe is a re-vamped holiday village that has family breaks with all the activities, food, and entertainment included. They have cabaret style entertainment each evening and it harks back to the traditional holiday camp experience but with a modern twist.

  8. Couldn’t see which site had evening theatre, but Mill Rythe has evening style cabaret entertainment. Personally, I would love to go to Whitecliffe Bay in the Isle of Wight as there is plenty to do offsite as well as onsite.
