This week we met the very lovely Ally and her little boy at ASK Italian in Liverpool, the whole experience from beginning to end was so lovely that I will absolutely definitely be back to eat at ASK Liverpol with the children next time we are in town.
We arrived just before 12.30 to a lovely greeting and a table set up for the 4 children with childrens menus that doubled up as activity sheets.  The activity sheets had lots to colour in as well as finger puppet people to colour and pop out. When the girls discovered that you could pop the people out they nearly whooped with joy. I thought it was a really simple idea that kept that happily entertained and was that little bit different to other kids menus.

The children’s menu itself was lovely – with a starter, main course, dessert and babyccino for £6.95. ~The starter of cucumber and carrot sticks, garlic bread soldiers and a dip was really good for the four kids we had with us, as one loved cucumber and ate everyones, one ate all the carrot sticks and the other two shared the garlic bread soldiers!
My three all chose pizza but Ally chose the chicken and brocolli pasta for her little boy and it looked delicious. The portions were really quite substantial and I can imagine keep older kids perfectly happy too.  The pizza was declared scrumdiddlyumptious by all three (we have just been to see the BFG!).
I went for the lobster and prawn fresh pasta and Ally the pizza both of which were delicious. Mine was so filling that I couldn’t fit a dessert in but I was quite envious when Ally’s profiteroles arrived; she did in fairness offer to share!
The kids menu has the usual offer of Ice Cream afterwards for dessert, but it comes with strawberries, meringue and marshmellows too which is cute. I wanted one of the kids to try the dessert pizza but I couldn’t persuade them to with all mine opting for the strawberry lolly!
What for me set Ask Liverpool apart though was the staff. Â Our waitress was absolutely wonderful with all the kids and put up with their countless questions and requests for photos with her in the hats they had decorated. Â The chef even came out for a photo too! Â They didn’t hurry us, were attentive and noticed when drinks had been finished and ultimately made sure the kids were happy so Ally and I could actually have a conversation!
Whilst the kids enjoyed their babychino I reflected on a lovely meal and decided we would definitely be back. Full marks to ASK Liverpool!

They look like they had just the best meal. We’re huge ASK fans here too! x
It sounds great, there are so many places in Liverpool I never think to go with the kids but this looks perfect for them!
Aw how lovely that you met up with Ally and J. I have only ever been to ASK once, and it looks a great place to take the kids. Who knew that finger puppets could be so much fun x
