2. Santa at the Shipwreck Museum, Charlestown

Before you head down into the tunnel of lights (the UK’s longest indoor lit tunnel of Christmas lights, extending to more than 220 metres and using more than 4.5 miles of sparkling lights) book a meeting with Santa and his elves, where all children receive a very special festive keepsake to take home. Booking essential, and book to attend before your timeslot for the tunnel! £15/£10 per child depending on age, first adult free, Additional adult £4.50.

(Separate booking to the Tunnel of Lights!)

Santa will not be at Lanhydrock in 2023.

3. Santa at the Eden Project

Father Christmas is in a new, bigger log cabin just outside of the ice rink this year. It felt incredibly magical being inside – the decorations were just amazing. To be honest, the whole 40 minute experience was brilliant – especially Santa’s entrance down the chimney! It began with a show with the elves and Father Christmas which our boys both enjoyed.

The theme in 2023 is about giving and the importance of plants. I was also impressed that parts of the show were signed to make it more accessible. Afterwards we got to meet Father Christmas, make pledges to help power his sleigh and play games with the elves. The boys each got a gift from Santa too. You can find out more about meeting Father Christmas at Eden and book tickets here.

4. Santa by steam, Bodmin and Wenford Railway

“Gather your family and friends and take a journey with the railway elves to visit Santa’s grotto. Arrive at Bodmin General Station for mince pies, seasonal drinks and carols on the platform, before climbing aboard for an hour-long return journey on a beautiful steam hauled train. During the trip you’ll visit Santa, with plenty of time for a photo, and gifts for each child. When he’s not driving the sleigh with Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer, Father Christmas travels by steam train!”

Running every weekend in December in the lead up to Christmas & Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd Dec.

Journey includes one hour steam train ride and includes a mince pie and seasonal drink for adults. Tickets here.
