Travel Tips: Kids UV Combi Wetsuits

Review of a kids UV Combi Wetsuit!

We recently went to Portugal at February Half Term.  This first place we stayed Martinhal Quinta did not have a heated pool so I knew we needed something to keep my eldest warm in the pool.  I know that sounds a little mean, but my younger two are not quite as swimming pool obsessed, so I knew if I told them it was cold (it definitely was) they wouldn’t actually want to do anymore than paddle in the pool.  My eldest daughter however would want to jump in, and swim in there until she was blue!  We’ve been there are got the t-shirt on a very cold holiday in France!  The pool was absolutely freezing when the picture below was taken!

Back to the holiday in question!  Splash About sent us a UV Wetsuit to use in the pol so we could avoid Lily going blue when she inevitably played in the pool which she did.  I didn’t actually manage to get any decent photos of her (in said pool) however she did actually use this slide and jump in countless times, despite on these photos looking like she only sunbathed in it!

The Combi Wetsuit by Splash About retails at £24.99 and is perfect for a day on the beach when its windy, but the sun is out. Sun protection and warmth meaning it is perfect for Europe in the Spring. The wetsuit is made in soft Nylon Lycra UV fabric and was easy for my 5 year old to get on and off.

If we head to Portugal again in February half term, which I think we just might, I’ll definitely purchase some more of these for the twins to use.  Recommended.
