Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

I’ve been explaining how much I love Christmas and how Christmas has changed over on Fuelled by Latte this week. It starts to feel like Christmas is really here when the tree goes up and at the end of last week we spent an early evening putting decorations on the tree, drinking baileys and listening to a Christmas album!

As we do every year we get a real tree. I love how they look and how they smell.  For me it has to be a real tree for it to feel like Christmas! As I explained last year getting them home from your Christmas Tree shop/forest/garden centre of choice can however be a bit of a faff!  We have been lucky enough to have another tree delivered this year from the lovely folk over at Pines and Needles.   Pines and Needles deliver trees to you, wherever you might be!

In London Pines and Needles have their own fleet of vans and dedicated team of enthusiastic specialists. Delivering trees in their kilts and their Santa hats in keeping with their Scottish heritage they would be difficult to miss. Up in the North of England they don’t offer this service (yet) but you simply specify a delivery day and it arrives.  It’s incredibly simple and fantastic for a perfect Christmas Tree to land on your doorstep!

Our 6ft Nordmann Fir is stunning and if I say so myself my girls look pretty stunning in front of it in these Roco Clothing dresses.

  1. What a great idea, especially for people that are unable to source their own but still love a real tree at Xmas. We have a real one to in Melbourne, Australia. Merry Christmas to you & the girls.

  2. Back when we lived in London we had always had real Christmas tree. I remember first year we lived together and didn’t own a car back then, my husband went to Ikea and picked the biggest tree there. The guy asked where his car is, so he wanted to help my husband to load this massive tree onto the car. He said he does not have one. They guy just looked at him with disbelief. My husband had the most memorable trip home – on the busses- with our Christmas tree. Three out of 4 bus drivers just refused to board the bus with his tree. Eventually he got home and we had the most amazing Christmas tree ever. But if we had to do it again without having a car to take our tree home.. well we would not do it again we would just use pine and needles!
